I don't know what the technical term is, but the effect is making the subject stay relatively the same size while the background depth changes. I think it may be done by zooming in while moving the camera backwards, but I really have no idea.
Here is an example at 00:24. Does anyone know how to do this and what its called?
Thats cool Ive always wondered about that, see it in edits sometimes. I think it happens accidentally a lot when the filmer is too close to the man in the air and has to zoom out rapidly while moving downhill at the same speed that the skier is. Creates the same effect.
More simple than you would think- just move away from the subject while zooming in on it. using a dolly to "move away" from it would make the cleanest results
