???How to not get caught photographing illegal things/actions??
My town has a 10ft cow for one of our biggest parades (we live in wisconsin) and its parked right in an easily accessible parking lot. I want to shoot one of my friends riding on it(would be at night) but is it possible to post it anywhere without getting in trouble? essentially, if the action i photograph is illegal and i post a picture of it, how can i not get in trouble? Or do i just not post it. shanks
blur faces, make sure no one is wearing recognizable clothing, and if you want to be extra safe, go somewhere that isn't your house and use a computer that isn't yours to upload it (make a new email and use dropbox or something), then if you must share it publicly, its still not a great choice, but make sure you don't link yourself to it. Like its fine to say that its funny, but don't tag your friends and say how much fun it was. Leave that for secret groups/inbox. That should have you pretty much set, but I'm no expert, so assume this isn't foolproof. And you will need to pick a balance between anonymity vs claiming if you go public with it, which is not a great idea
I'm not really sure how much trouble you would get in for sitting on a parade float, but my guess is it wouldn't be a deal. Anyone who would punish you probably wouldn't see the picture. As long as you don't cause harm to the structure or something I don't see what the big deal is. I can't imagine you would get in too much trouble for posting a picture, but It could be some super sacred cow for all I know. Anyways, use your best judgment, but it doesn't seem like it would be a huge deal.
also, if you don't damage it, I think the worst you could get would be trespassing, so if you were caught in the act, they would probably ask you to leave, maybe take names/check id, but it should;t be a big deal
Kind of unrelated but have any of you filmers/photographers ever gotten in trouble from cops while shooting urban. I guess you're trespassing but from what I've seen, the skier is usually the one to get in trouble if anyone.
Well first off i starting shooting for the first time ever about 2 weeks ago, along with the fact it was shitty lighting and we were trying to get the shot off quick. So instead of lecturing me give me some credit for aattempting it even if it wasnt up to your standards. and maybe you could explain what im supposed to do instead to make it better instead of being a douche. thanks
take the picture of your friend riding it, provide pics of a town official, post both pics in here and let someone photoshop the town official's face onto your friend, then if anyones gonna get in trouble it will be the person who makes it illegal to do that
