what do you guys do in your free time during the summer? when i'm not working i jam with my band, play hockey, smoke bud, longboard, and party.

long boarding is way more gnarly than street skating, doing a kickflip over a set of stairs has way less danger than skating down a hill at 50mph

Going 50mph takes no skill. Doing a tre flip off a 8+ set over and over until you get it is way harder, and probably just as dangerous.

It still takes skill to go fast at around 40+. You definitely need to learn how to move your ankles and gain ankle strength to not get wobbles. I do both street and long boarding and both of them have bitched whipped me. I have had more injuries long boarding than street for some reason though.

being in control at high speeds takes skill. Are you comfortable with stopping your board at 50 mph? When going that fast people can't just throw themselves down a hill or they can get seriously injured or killed but when you look at the pros they have amazing control of their boards at those speeds. Bombing hills at 50mph requires control and a massive amount of skill. Now I am not saying that a tre off an 8 stair is AT ALL any easier. Skating at highspeeds in a safe but fun manor is harder than you think but once you get the basics its not that hard to progress. Skating sketchily down hills is another thing mane



Bombing mountain roads to pack is whats good it puts me in the zone

She lives in Bangor but I think she has or rents a cottage that is on the coast somewhere close to old orchard.

Surf, skateboarding, make things...

And I agree on a skateboard with soft wheels being more practical and way more fun for transport. But, at least if you ask me, there's no contest for high speed riding. I'll take my downhill setup over a skateboard any time to actually go fast. I mean like 30mph fast, or more, not cruising down a little hill.

Any other time I''d ride a skateboard. I'm not a fan of n00bs pushing mongo to class either. And a mini ramp sesh is definitely more fun.

Short summer for me Im mid way through mine and the broke as fuck no income part just started (had a good 6 weeks since I been back from Europe when I've had some pocket money and work was going on which was nice.) So I have 7-8 weeks of brokeness and then end of August I'll get paid for these sales, and have money to go to Tahoe and do my work traveling if need be.

Summer:

I smoke shitloads of weed ripping a gravity bong hourly, and attempt 2x a week pickup hockey, 2x a week gym/basketball, and try to golf 2-3 times a week be it range or round w/cart.

Dicking around on the computer, reading college football previews, thinking about my business, and occasional PS3 is what I do chilling.

I go out to bars once every other week tabs get expensive so pretty summers quiet on that front.

Sleep late as a motherfucker usually till 11 or 12.
