ik theres a thread anbout this on the build a jib page but thats pretty dead... so my box is really hard to slide on, the surface is HDPE polyethelene plastic. should i wax it? ive used water but that didnt do much either. Same thing with my pvc pipe rail.
I'm going to go with what everyone else has said. HDPE can get dry and sticky in cold dry weather, which hardly describes Wisconsin in the summer. If you aren't sliding well on PVC, something is wrong with your skis. Start with hot waxing your skis with yellow or orange for really warm weather. If that doesn't solve the problem, see the video in my profile about how to dull or detune your edges. Your skis may be railed. There are some great videos in gear talk on how hot wax and scrape your skis.
