Faction 3.Zero?

I just got a sponsorship with Faction Skis and now I need a stiff twin rockered ski that is awesome in powder, but still kicks ass on groomers and crud. Is the 3.Zero a good pick?

I've owned 3.Zeros and Thirteens, and skied a Alias/Agent 100.

The 188 Alias is a good touring/ all mountain ski.  Flat tail, medium stiff.
The 194 Thirteen is a big, bad, Alaska-killing comp ski.  Flat tail, long and redic-stiff.  I blew my knee on the Thirteens.
The 191 3.Zero is a rocket.  It wants to go faster than you can ski it.  The faster you go, the smoother it skis.  It doesn't float in pow, as much as it skis through it.  It doesn't submarine though.

The Thirteen and 3.Zero both had 916s, the Alia had Rossi demos.

I got a pair of 3.zero's for last season, I couldn't believe how well they coped with everything. I ski in Europe and they smashed everything they came up against, steep tight couloir's, pillows, wet pow...and when it came to getting home on the groomers they ate them up too.Like someone else said, they just want to go fast, and then when you go fast, they want you to faster!! The Royale is an awesome ski as well, you would be surprised how well that ski with a 122mm waist handles all mountain.

Maybe check out the CT.3 or CT.4, saw Candide in Tignes this Season and checked out the new CT.4, think he had some jesters on them and they weighed nothing, insane swing weight on a ski that size. He said at the time it destroyed the whole mountain and that was before that edit of him broke out! And i expect its smaller bro the CT.3 would be awesome bet too.

But if you just got a sponsor then try the whole line?! Sick company as well based in Verbier so they get to test the shit out of their skis.

i have the 3.zeros and honestly i'd try and get the new CT.4.0s. 3.zero's are good and all, but i always seem to think they could do with a bit more rocker and the CT.40s look amazing

What makes you say that? Been looking at adding the 3.0 to my quiver for next year but im open to other things in the faction line as id like to stick to European stuff incase i need to warranty or replace.

I think the CT3 and the CT4 both have the same rocker profile and flat camber, CT4 is more or less like the Royale but different materials and slightly different flex, i would love that ski in my quiver.

The normal 3.Zero has a different rocker profile to the CT3 and it has camber, CT3 is flat camber. Not sure i would agree with the comment saying the 3.zero needs more rocker? But that's just me, i have a big old full rocker ski and i have more fun on the 3.zero. I have found it has a nice amount of rocker combined with camber, so it just destroys!

Thanks, that's helpful because the only concern i had with the 3.Zero was their rocker profile, but it sounds like theyre my choice. +K

Its not the biggest rocker, its got 10/150mm in the tip and 10/100mmin the tail with the 5mm camber. CT3 has 15/300mm in tip and tail wit flat camber. I am not certain but i think last years CT 3 had a different rocker that was more like the 3.zero but they gave it more for this years.

I am sure the superlight CT3 and CT4 rip whatever they touch i and really want them both..... the 3.zero with that little bit of camber and a less rocker means it handles the variable conditions a bit better.

3.Zero sounds like the ticket for what I do in Europe and Scotland, 99% of the time ive been able to ride the powder here on GS skis so these will deal with the shit quite nicely.

Given a choice i would have both the CT4 and the 3.zero...screw it i would get the entire faction line up.....but i need money for food and other things to keep me alive!! CT3, CT4 and 3.zero....dont think you can really go wrong dude. Would ski them all in a shot!
