Well here we go again. The season begins August 18th, but there's still plenty going on in the meantime!


Transfer season is in full swing, with various sources reporting everything under the sun with absolutely no basis.

And seemingly every team is going on tour of somewhere, because evidently teams like Norwich need to bolster their support in places like southern California and Malaysia.


Will Manchester United keep the title?
Will Manchester City not be a mess?
Will Chelsea's Jose Mourinho get himself sacked by Christmas?
Will Arsenal be stuck waiting another season to win a trophy?
Will Tottenham finally get a champions league spot?

Here's to a hopefully entertaining season with plenty of great action leading up the BRAZIL 2014!

the Suarez transfer is just getting stranger and stranger.

They've alienated him, told him he's being forced to stay, and now supposedly it's up to Rodgers if he stays or goes.

Now disregarding that I'm an Arsenal fan, so I'm clearly biased...I honestly think they don't have any real choice but to sell him. You can't have your top player and best goalscorer angry at his situation and essentially held hostage by the club and expect him to perform.

It's like Arsenal with Van Persie last summer. He wanted to leave and made that clear, so they sold him. Terrible bit of business as it effectively handed manchester united the title, but he would never have played quite as well had Arsenal forced him to stay.

i think they're going for bale because florentino is a crazy person and after missing out on neymar he feels he NEEDS a big signing.

suarez transfer is truly strange. he is a world class player who has been vocal about leaving the club and yet it seems only arsenal is in for him.

Well, we are just 4 days away now. Anybody with some predictions on the new season? It's always a bit of fun to look at when it's all said and done and to see how far off predictions were.

My predictions.

1: Man United
2: Chelsea (Very close to United)
3: Spurs (If Bale stays)
4: Arsenal
5: Man City

I think it will be a really close race in the top 5 by points. 1-5 being separated by just 11 Points at the end of it.

Golden Boot will go to RVP again.

Ahhh I'm stoked for this weekend. NBC took over broadcasting right from Fox Soccer and this race for Champions League looks amazing. So many possible contenders, and hopefully with Sir Alex leaving Man U, they won't be as invincible in years past.

This is as is, without any predicted transfers. If Bale leaves or Suarez comes this table can take a way different look but currently I think Arsenal loses out unfortunately.

Is there a way to check what games will be on what channels without looking far ahead on my tv? I thought I used to be able to see on ESPN but there's nothing that I see about what.games are televised

you being too lazy to read the thread hardly seems like a reason he should fuck off.

very strange transfer season. Arsenal looked like they were going to be very active and finally spend a lot of money and absolutely nothing has come of it, and United have been nothing but rumors all summer.

Yeah it's kinda depressing, even as a neutral party. Wenger had 110 mil to spend and didn't use any of it, and it seemed like all of his big targets (Luis gustavo, bernard, higuain, etc) all preferred other clubs. Feels like Arsenal is losing some of their pull?

City spent big money on what seems could be two backup forwards. Also I think that after week one there night be oneteam that has a 'that's it' moment and goes all out to find a replacement.

Jovetic is absolutely capable of starting if he plays as well as he is able to. Negredo will have a harder time cracking the starting lineup with the likes of Aguero and Dzeko around

Liverpool has played well, but that final ball is lacking. They cant break down Stoke. Stoke looks like they may get a lucky break as well and pull one back

I gotta go to the casino now and put a bet on my FUCKING BOYS WEST HAM UNITED to win today.

I'll tell you how I feel about this season in 3 hours I think this is actually a really important game and we could be in for another rough year if we don't win and get off to a good start and have good feelings around the club.

This referee in the arsenal match is an absolute joke. Koscielny makes 2 fair tackles...concedes a penalty and then gets sent off.

Not that arsenal are playing extraordinarily well, but come on...Aston villa are winning because of 2 controversial penalties

Crystal Palace put up a good fight. Good to see newly promoted teams not being afraid to throw the cat among the pigeons and give it a real go.

Good first game back for The Happy One. 2-0 and didn't really look like we were going to get scored on the entire game. Only a chance or two fell to Hull.

First of all thank fucking god Mourinho is back<3 He'll bring the consistency Chels has been lacking. I am incredibly optimistic about this season after that first game.

Great ball movement down the field and it seemed like everyone had a good understanding of where everyone else was. Ivanovic made some great Cole-esque runs up the side which was great to see. De Bruyne, while his strikes were high, showed some great confidence from range. Torres had a good game as well even though he didn't have many attempts on net. Some nice, neat passing in the final third of the field. Oscar and Hazard were working incredibly well together, it seems they've gelled to a point that they previously hadn't.

And HOLY SHIT LAMPS. What a fucking game. Not only did he have that ridiculous 35 yard bullet, but he touched the ball the most out of any other Chelsea player, a total of 85 times, and had ZERO turnovers. So happy Mourinho still sees his value.

They got a little careless and relaxed in the second half but were never in any real trouble. Incredible game, but it WAS against Hull. Might've been a little different if Huddlestone and Livermore were present for a full 90, but I'm sure Chels still would've crushed. Can't wait to see them perform against some better competition.

Its in Sky in the UK, sounds like the result may not even matter with fenerbahce having to appeal a two year ban from european competition during the two games.

city tweeted that yaya toure had scored a free kick, just as my live stream was loading with him standing over a free kick. As he ran up to the ball, the stream provider decided to throw a video ad at me... I've watched the whole match and I missed all three goals and the red card for similar things...

Chelsea has been through a lot of shit in the past two years or so. A lot of ups and downs despite managing to pull off the Champions League title and the Europa League title the following year. Managers flowing in and out and controversy surrounding the team all around. A familiar face who had success with the program not long ago will undoubtedly ground the team into a more consistent path.

Just look at the facts. Jose has now won 61 games uninterrupted with Chelsea at Stamford bridge... If that's not consistent I don't know what is. Ha.
