.MASSHOLE.Not shocked to hear this either. Possession IMO when it comes to teams who play like Barcelona or Bayern can be a misleading factor. No one cares if you have the ball 99.9% of the game, because if the .1% the other team does results in chances/goals, thats all the people will care about in the end.

It's odd that Pep seems so reliant on playing, for lack of a better term, tiki-taka with Bayern when, unlike his old Barca teams, there's so much more this team can do. They have guys who can shoot from distance (Kroos, Schweini, Lahm, etc), and guys who can finish crosses in the box from the likes of Ribery and Robben (Mandzukic, Muller). It's strange that, when tiki-taka isn't working, Pep doesn't have the team do something else. I didn't watch the game so I don't know if that's what really happened, but it's what all the people writing about the game are saying.
The reason this Bayern team has potential to be even better than Pep's Barca team is their supposed versatility. Where Barca could only beat a team in one way, it seems as though Bayern should be able to beat you in many. If Pep thinks Bayern can play tiki-taka as effectively as Barca could, well, he sees something I don't. As good as Kroos, Schweinsteiger, Thiago, Martinez, Lahm, Goetze, Muller, etc. are in tight spaces, they aren't as good as Xavi, Iniesta, Busquets, Messi, etc.
This Bayern team isn't going to conquer the world solely by passing through it, they're going to do it by lulling teams into a sense of false security with their possession, then putting a cross in, or having a shot from distance, or hitting on the counter.
