Chicago gets the lockout cup for the summer. Lets start next season off, and hope somebody fucking new wins it, damnit. Summer transactions are up soon, so this should get started fast.

if the rangers can just win game 5 we have ourselves a finals.
i think they can. they played very well overall in LA the first two games even though they have nothing to show for it and they have been a very good road team throughout the season and post season.

because he's a fucking schmuck. it's definitely still a thing....but LA fans wouldn't know because they just started watching hockey in 2012. fuck, i hate that fan base soooo much. they're the least undeserving in all of the NHL of this caliber of a hockey team.

Both teams are my two favorite teams in the NHL so I really didn't care who won. Kings deserved it but the Rangers deserved it too. It was awesome to see the Rangers have such a shitty season then make it this far. Next year guys, the Rangers or blues are taking it all. Mark my words now.

well that was a great game. a great series for that matter. definitely much much closer than the 4-1 final tally in games. three OT games, two double OT. kings didnt even have lead in first two games and won. how often do you see something like that. its unfortunate that two games were affected by bad calls by the officials but hey theyre human and shit happens. rangers just didnt have quite enough. hopefully we can make some good personnel decisions in the off season, improve and come back even stronger next year. cant wait to hear all the dumbass band wagon rangers fans on sports talk radio clammering to trade nash this off season... fuckers...

lunddqvist is an absolute boss. hands down best goalie in the world and no one will be able to convince me otherwise. hes so consistently brilliant. no one deserves a cup more than him. i really hope he gets one next year

...It has nothing to do with the Sharks fucking up this year. I'd have said this anyway. That ONE joke video is one of many. That's the point.

Their "hockey culture" will go by the wayside as soon as they stop winning cups, LA gets a football team, or as soon as the Lakers/Clippers start winning championships. You should have seen their turnout 10-15 years ago. They weren't even that bad, either.

Case in point? Look at the hilarious turnout to Ducks games. Totally fluctuates. 5 years ago, the Kings were good, but the Ducks sold out, because the bandwagon was tilted from their cup. This is kinda how sports are in California in general. The only reason the Sharks are kinda different is because San Jose only has one team in the tenth largest populated city in the nation. Nobody down there is going to deal with the traffic go watch basketball in Oakland - 40 mins away to begin with.

They might sell out games, but the fans leave halfway through the 3rd period - as with most LA and San Francisco sporting events. Watch a game mid-season. If the game isn't close and exciting, if they aren't playing a rival, half the arena is empty with 5-10 minutes left regardless of the score.

On top of that, there are many empty seats to begin with because companies just buy sections in bulk, and then nobody shows up - leaving 30 empty seats. Empty sections dot the arena. Same thing happens in San Jose. It's commonplace, and the #1 reason why the Kings are statistically over capacity, and how the Sharks have sold out the tank for over a decade.

So yeah. the Kings are a joke. LA fans are like Heat fans. They'll be gone after a few mediocre seasons. Fuck LA in general. Bettman sucks.

Watching the reaction if both teams got me teary eyed. And hoasting that trophy, what a feeling that must be. I want so badly to experience a a Stanley Cup winning team. Lets Go Wild next year! Draft is in 2 weeks!

Yeah Sean, obviously the Kings have a great fan base. Following their win last night the franchise even committed to some fan service for the longest-serving members of the official LA Kings fan club. According to the press release, all diehard Kings fans will receive a complimentary DVD titled "The LA Kings from May 2012 to today: A complete history, as far as you know."

That series was disheartening. Should be 3-2 Kings right now but that's hockey. Awesome hockey for fans of the game. Congrats to the Kings, they're probably the best team in the league. Maybe next year!

Yeah he is july 1, he still hasn't said anything about leaving montreal though. just testing the market. he said he wants a winning team, oh look, he's already on one. Habs gonna go farther next year, hopefully Carey wont get injured for the 3rd playoffs in a row.
