Chicago gets the lockout cup for the summer. Lets start next season off, and hope somebody fucking new wins it, damnit. Summer transactions are up soon, so this should get started fast.
as a Habs fan, I really hate a lot of Habs fans. I know that our team dives and makes cheap shots. I still don't think Subban is such a dirty player people make him out to be, but I see how he has negative aspects. I like Prust, but I have definitely seen him pull a lot of dirty plays recently, which I am not a fan of in the least.
But that being said, almost all teams have some dirty players, and regardless, as a Montrealer,I still love the Canadiens. GO HABS GO!

Looked like he was chopping wood last night. Holy slashing!
Side note- Carcillo got suspended 10 games for making contact with an official.
are you fucking retarded ? that's a massive generalization.
You're damn right. Montreal fans put Boston on a pedestal and every single time they do something "wrong" its all over their hockey coverage and sometimes there media. I constantly here Habs fans complain about Lucic, Marchand, and Chara. Yet they turn a blind eye when someone on their own team pulls far more dirty shit than anything the B's have done this post season. Prust has been a cocksucker these entire playoffs but this is the first time any of the shit he's done is being remotely addressed.
Also, those "racist" tweets came from a handful of people. Look it up, it was completely blown out of proportion.

I'm pretty sure fans of every team can say this. I sure as fuck can.
...I'm so fucking tired of the constant "[insert goalie name here] IS GARBAGE! TRADE HIM! WE NEED TO SIGN [impending free agent overrated goalie] INSTEAD!" type of jackasses that pretend to be Sharks fans, but are really just a bunch of Johnny-come-latelys that don't follow the game until the playoffs anyway.
...Or the even more annoying and retarded, "The Sharks will never win with Thornton and Marleau." crowd.
If the Sharks aren't going to win it, it won't be due to 2 guys failing.
boston fans are pretty shitty. i'll never forget an entire stadium chanting "flopper" at Mason Raymond as he lay on the ground with broken vertebrae in his back.
it's an automatic suspension for physical altercation with officials.
it's either 3 10 or 20
I think 20 is for physical force applied to an official with intent to injure
10 is for physical force applied to an official without intent to injure
and 3 is for physical force applied to an official with the intent of getting free

If he appeals it I think he can get 3
ahhh did not know that...I thought it was just an arbitrary number, in that case the 10 makes perfect sense
sucks Montreal didn't get that though after they just kept playing better and better throughout the game. No doubt they'll win at home but I'd be worried about game 6
erikKi don't see why you'd say this after games 1 and 2
because they've been playing far better since games 1 and 2 and don't have as many doubts about Tokarski. Game 1 was a shitshow, game 2 was already better but they really lost all confidence with loosing Price, game 3 and 4 they have definitely got their confidence back and were really looking like they were going to win game 4. Going back home now for game 5 they'll no doubt pick up where they left off and play really well.
But loosing Price was such a blow to the whole team and even if your backup is playing amazing it's still going to have an effect on the performance of the team when debatably the best player of the playoffs is lost from your lineup.
Oh fuck off. This is the same as my "hypocrite" comment. If I wanted to take 20 minutes out of my day to post all the vids of candiens diving I would, except I just don't care enough to make that point. If you think the B's are the worst, you are stupid.

that litteraly took me 3 minutes to post , and the point wasn't that they are the worst , it's that it's easy to paint a team as divers because every player in the league will try to milk a call given the opportunity , and it mostly happens on high sticks.
so to say ''classic MTL'' because 2 players got high sticked in the face is dumb as fuck.
*Disclaimer: This is a two way street so in no means am I saying that Montreal and its fans are the only ones who do this. Boston does it as well, as do many other teams.*
I think what bothers most Boston fans is that Montreal Fans criticize Boston for play-acting, dirty hits, and poor sportsmanship among both players and fans, yet when their team does it, they turn a blind eye.
Play-Acting is becoming a bigger part of the game like it has in basketball recently and soccer/football historically and that it is nuisance. If you ask me, the NHL should instigate a fine/review system like the NBA has and impose fines for those who have acted to gather calls. Will it remedy the immediate action during games? Probably not. But if the league can instigate fines of a higher value than the NBA and eventual suspensions for repeat offenders (Subban, Marchand, etc) then maybe it will turn it around.

It's not a bad idea but we all know the NHL will never emit suspension to star players unless they really fuck up.
VinnieFI've never had anything against the Rangers, but I after watching this series I think they have some of the worst fans in the league.
as a rangers fan i agree. most rangers fans have completely unrealistic expectations and know very little about hockey. its very frustrating and i end up arguing with them a lot
VinnieFbecause they've been playing far better since games 1 and 2 and don't have as many doubts about Tokarski. i think to say that there is no doubt that the canadiens will win game 5 is ludicrous. youre right that theyve been playing a lot better these last two games and have made this a series but even so both of the last two games could have gone either way. this series could just as easily be over as tied 2-2.
to me (and im almost certainly biased) it looks like the rangers have the strongest will to win of any of the remaining teams. theyre definitely not the best team left but that will to win gives me hope for their chances if they make the finals.
tokarski has been playing very well but the dude sells out real hard to make the initial save which leaves him vulnerable on rebounds. eventually that will come back to bite him, though it hasnt really yet. he also has TERRIBLE form moving side to make saves. most of the goals the rangers have scored this series (especially the ones that could have potenitally been saved) have come when tokarski is moving side to side. gotta love the all out effort he gives you though and his glove is absolutely nasty. St Louis couldve had at least two goals that last game if not for tokarski being a boss. the OT goal was literally perfectly placed which is prolly what its gonna take to beat tokarski glove side
rangers have been road warriors this post season and i see them finishing it off in MTL.
everybody dives to some extent at some point. face it. sometimes the only way to get an advantage when it's neck and neck is to embellish. and when it often works, why the fuck not?
it's not something i condone, but it works! the only way to fix diving would be to penalize diving a little more harshly, not ridicule people who dive. if diving is going to win you a game in the stanley cup playoffs, you're probably going to give it a chance.
plus, with respect to the stick in the face embellishment. do you have any idea how much it stings to get hacked? i bet most people in here would throw their heads back and roll around on the ice onlyto find out it hasn't broken the skin. these guys bleed and get stitches they get chopped so hard.
it's more reactionary to take a stick in the mouth and jerk your head back. and if they go to the ice to sell it a little more, that's the way she goes.
all in all the series is being played pretty well and last night new york got carried away and earned themselves a few extra penalties. your stick should never be anywhere around another players face, especially when they have the puck and the puck is on the fucking ice. fault, you.
i dont know if all of you didnt notice or something but the boston vs montreal series is over so can we please PLEASE just stop with the endless bitching on both sides? i mean jesus christ i go on here after the rangers win last night and 80% of the new posts are just bos and mtl fans going at it. make your own damn thread to argue if you want to so badly. bos players dive, bos players play dirty. mtl players dive, mtl players play dirty. the rangers have benoit pouliot aka captain offensive zone penalty. EVERY TEAM DIVES AND PLAYS DIRTY TO SOME DEGREE. we get it, you guys dont like each other. talk about it elsewhere. im sick of reading about it and would love to hear some actual input on the nhl playoffs in which the bruin and habs are no longer playing /rant
Anathemaall in all the series is being played pretty well and last night new york got carried away and earned themselves a few extra penalties. your stick should never be anywhere around another players face, especially when they have the puck and the puck is on the fucking ice. fault, you.
this. all the rangers penalties were penalties. period. embellishment or not.
-emile-and coming from a Bruins fan it's pretty hypocritical to say ''classic MTL'' when your team is the worst for flops and dives.
-emile-that litteraly took me 3 minutes to post , and the point wasn't that they are the worst , it's that it's easy to paint a team as divers because every player in the league will try to milk a call given the opportunity , and it mostly happens on high sticks.
so to say ''classic MTL'' because 2 players got high sticked in the face is dumb as fuck.
That's a juicy contradiction.
And if you think this is a high stick to the face...yikes

Nailed it. It's actually laughable how often they do this.
Xanadoothis. all the rangers penalties were penalties. period. embellishment or not.
yep but embellishment definitely should have beeb called. subban was bad but plakanec whipping his head back and grabbing his face when he took a stick to the shoulder? come on.
b-kulyep but embellishment definitely should have beeb called. subban was bad but plakanec whipping his head back and grabbing his face when he took a stick to the shoulder? come on.
yeah well, they didnt call it. and if the rangers just keep their sticks on the ice it wont be an issue.
Because he hates the Bruins and tries to bash them every chance he gets. He's done it in the past NHL threads too. Has a huge bias for hating them for some reason (probably because they are good).
But...I too am getting sick of the arguments. Both sides(including my own) need to shut the fuck up. We are out, the Canadiens will be out soon. Let's focus on who actually has a shot at winning and leave this arguing for the start of next season.
