J.D.It's as much the Rangers defense as anything, there were 19 MTL shots in the third and at no point until the last couple of minutes did they appear at all dangerous. Perfect gap control, no time or space to do anything, it was a clinic.

lundqvist has a 964 save % over the rangers five game win streak and has allowed 6 goals... those are not human numbers. the defense in front of him has been really solid too and are not allowing nearly as many odd man rushes because theyve totally taken away MTL's stretch pass as a weapon. and holy titty fucking christ the rangers goal scorers are actually scoring. THAT is something i have definitely never seen in my life. i thought the offense might hit a road bump with brassard out but they didnt really miss a step. even if price had been in net i think the rangers still wouldve won that game. who knows though.
honestly you habs fans who are saying they need to take out kreider for injuring price, that is just bush league nonsense. what if toews had injured quick on that goal that was disallowed in the first game of the western conference final? would you consider that a dirty play? in hockey you are told to go hard to the net and put the puck in it. sometimes shit happens. kreider lost his footing and shit happened. he wasnt trying to hurt him he was trying to make a hockey play. the play that took brassard out was equally "dirty" to the one that injured price. emelin was trying make a hockey play when he hit brassard a little late (although completely cleanly) in game one and blindsided him. hockey is a rough sport and people get hurt sometimes. if you worry about things you cant control you are going to lose for sure

I still remember the rangers run in 2012, I thought they were unstoppable especially after going up 2-1 in the series vs NJ that year. For some reason Hank started to play worse and that was the series. All i can ask for is that game 2 effort in games 3 and 4.

All three final goals were terrible...but theres no bad shot in the playoffs especially during OT. Just throw the damn puck towards the net and something good is bound to happen
