Chicago gets the lockout cup for the summer. Lets start next season off, and hope somebody fucking new wins it, damnit. Summer transactions are up soon, so this should get started fast.

immasStill can't believe Chicago is playing LA again.
DingoSeanAfter Game 3 of the opening series, I'm pretty sure nobody can.
..fucking sharks
VinnieFMontreal player will probably be an idiot and 'accidentally' crash Lundqvist.
VinnieFHope none of the Habs do anything stupid to Kreider. Sucks that he probably meant to crash Price and that he probably will be targeted and some Montreal player will probably be an idiot and 'accidentally' crash Lundqvist.
ContenderKreider got tripped, everyone knows it. Even if it was on purpose, good luck proving that. I just hope it doesnt turn into a circus with the habs trying to hurt the rangers.
Xanadootherrien honestly needs to stop though. dude has gone from "it was a hockey play by kreider" during his post game interview to "it wasnt dirty but he sure didnt try to avoid price" yesterday to "he ran price on purpose/it was a dirty play". it looks pretty clear from the replay that krieder lost his footing. accusing him of trying to take out price is just gonna get the habs riled up in the entirely wrong way.
Ski_the_east01Can't wait for the police investigation on kreider
-emile-shut the fuck up.
Bruins did the same thing with Maurice Richard , it's annoying get over it.
b-kulyou have no clue what your talking about. clearly he was talking about the chara hit in 2011. in my view it was not much different then the hit on backes this year. unfortunate but what are you going to do?
the richard incident was assault and battery, you can't break a stick over a guys head and punch out a ref and claim it was a hockey play.
-emile-what the fuck is wrong with you ? how is the Chara incident even remotely close to the Backes hit ?
and I'm not even going to get into the Richard thing
Anathemacan you imagine if gallagher went skates first into lundqvist knocking him out of the playoffs?
i still don't think players are doing enough to protect goalies.
it's like putting a beer on the edge of a table and when it gets knocked over saying "well it was an accident!". not really, because you put the beer in a position where it was more than likely going to spill!
and lets face it. these guys can stick handle in a phone booth. you really think that given 3 or 4 strides they can't veer off the path off the net or put on the brakes? they know that their goal is to crash the net and get a goalie off his game, and when something comes of it, throwing your arms in the air and pleading innocence is something i'm not buying. the same goes for those reckless hits from behind. you can't claim that you lost your edging ever so slightly and it resulted in a broken fucking neck. don't be in the position where if anything goes even the least bit wrong, someone is out for the season. end of story.
it's only a matter of time before another goalie gets malarchuk'd and then we'll see some serious change.
b-kulsimilar in that it happened in a dangerous area and was a bang bang play. and you brought up richard. can you not see the difference between checking someone and swinging a stick at someone? people like you cast montreal fans in a bad light.
Xanadooprice got hurt because he extended his leg in the direction of the shot right as kreider hit him. unfortunate but what are you gonna do?
in this particular incident it really didnt look like kreider could do very much. he was cruising in on price off-balance at full speed on one skate trying to get a shot off. did you see the shot he ended up taking? he was like five feet from the net and he missed by like five feet. dude clearly had very little control at that point
That being said i agree with what you are saying in general. what he could have done was not go in skates first. that was dumb and dangerous, although not ultimately the reason price got hurt
-emile-.... the play was not similar at all , I can't find a similarity between the behind of the net , and where the glass starts near the benches, honestly , how is that even close to similar ? one was a hockey play that went wrong, i.e a hit where Backes was too low and got nailed in the head , the other is just someone pushing a player face first in the glass after the puck was long gone.
and I'm not going to go in the specifics of the Richard thing , because it's way too complex for you to grasp , the point is that the Boston Police went to arrest him after the game , so Bruins fan laughing about the police investigation one Pacioretty ( I think it was dumb as fuck and totally un needed) are kind of hypocritical.
b-kulif it happened anywhere else it would not have been an issue, just a hard hit a bit late. if anything blame how nhl rinks are setup. the fact that chara was neither suspend nor fined validates my point.
trust me, i understand the forces at play in the richard incident. i think anyone put in that situation would have snapped. but the fact remains he attacked two men. how you can not see the difference between a check that resulted in injury and an attack with a deadly weapon is beyond me.
don't listen to me, i don't care, just look at the differences in discipline between what chara received and what richard received.
b-kulok, next time your are skiing whack someone in the head with your pole a couple times then belt a patroller in the face and tell me how it works out.
-emile-Ok I'll do that ,
you should do something too , next time your skiing down near the trees , push someone face first into one.
see how that goes.

Anathemawell the rangers had to take out price to make the final.
but they'll get smoked by whoever comes out of the west.

steezboxLundqvist killed it though.
Turd.Fergusonis it safe to say both of them left their feet?
DingoSeanConsidering Hossa's feet left backwards, I wouldn't put anything dirty on this hit. Brown's just a bitchass down syndrome cunt who sucks at life and is a terrible league ambassador ;)

Ski_the_east01I don't even know if MTL would have won that game with Price.
Bar_DownThey need to get more shots on goal, they know Lundqvist is playing well so they're always going for the perfect shot and end up missing the net and shit; just get the puck on the net man, one will go in eventually.
