Chicago gets the lockout cup for the summer. Lets start next season off, and hope somebody fucking new wins it, damnit. Summer transactions are up soon, so this should get started fast.

Damn, tomorrow night is going to be epic. Both teams have played GREAT this whole series... BUT: Of the 5 times Montreal has beat Boston in Game 7, the Habs went to the Stanley Cup three times (winning twice).
Pretty happy with the habs season this year though. Although they had some bad stretches and questionable roster decisions during the year, they got much better as a team. They're not even in true contender mode yet so all of this feels like bonus.

B) crawford stood on his fucking head tonight. he's the ONLY reason that game wasn't 15-1 Wild.

The Wild's favorite thing to do is outshoot a team but have nothing to show for it. Sucks that we had to go through most of the playoffs without any of our regular goalies, that last goal should have been easily preventable, Bryzgalov wasn't even in position. Such is life though
In fairness stanley cup games are gruelingly boring and pretty much insufferable to sit through...at least now he can go watch a real sport like baseball where modern day gladiators do battle against each other
Anyone have a video link of the last 3 mins or so of PEN/NYR game? My idiot boss is trying to tell me sid wasn't on the ice for the entire last 3 minutes or so ever since the scuffle in front of the net. Even tho that was malkin that crashed into hank....

i wasn't going to bring it up, but since you mentioned it, i've never seen a team with such phenomenal zone control with absolutely zero ability to put the puck in the net. Granted, Crow made some great saves, but the way MN was walking all over CHI in the zone, they should have had more to show for it. Thank god you guys can't score goals....
Regarding Bryzgalov....you have to cut the guy some slack. One on one vs arguably the best hands in the league, he never stood a chance. If you want to blame anyone, blame your D for allowing that opportunity to present itself in the first place. There's only so much a goalie can do.
All in all, great series, MN. I'm just glad I don't have to hear your crowd chanting CRAAWW-FOOORRRDDD all the time any more. Fuck, that's annoying...especially when you continue to chant while you're scrambling on D.

Suter took Regin (i think) out of the play and cooke fucked up his back check on kane.
Bryz had no chance 1on1 with kane wide open in front of the net.
It's whatever, the wild made it farther than the majority of the teams and I see a really good future with the wild. It was a good run.

i have to rematch it but i think he had a chance to poke check the puck when the initial shot was fanned on. but i agree, for a backup, (or backups backup?) he really stepped up and played well.

No, Bryz didn't really have a chance to poke it. It was too far out of the net with CHI crashing in. WAY too risky, imho. Ultimately, if anyone is to blame, it's Cooke.

LOL it def was not bryz fault, by any means. Kane had the puck right on the door step, cmon.....he made a sick move, and deeked out bryz....he had no chance.

Yeah, hopefully Harding will be ready to go by next year and with the newer guys stepping up, the wild should have a hell of a season next year.

Now that I look at it, extremely weird bounce off the boards... but yeah, cooke coulda back checked a little better. Great opportunity and a good finish (I hate myself for saying it).
It was a good series. Can't wait for next year and I really hope Chicago loses in the next round...

Haha, yup, this isn't a here and there thing either, as someone who watches almost every Wild game, we can dominate period after period and have no goals to show for it. Even at the beginning of OT we had so many chances to score and I for sure thought we were going to take it
