Chicago gets the lockout cup for the summer. Lets start next season off, and hope somebody fucking new wins it, damnit. Summer transactions are up soon, so this should get started fast.
I hate the Bruins and in my opinion Jack Edwards calls a better hockey game than basically anyone anywhere. Like, top 5 in the league level play by play.
Before you freak out, yes, I would prefer he refrained from the over the top homer stuff, but seriously listen to a couple of B's games in the regular season, it's fantastic stuff.

Yup, same fight where Marchi landed probably twice as many shots as Subban, all with Suban having 3 inches and 30 lbs. on him. I'd say Marchi didn't do too bad for himself.
How bout them Habs eh? Can't wait to cozy up with a pitcher at Champs and watch game 7 with my fellow Montrealers. Regardless of the outcome it's been a hell of a series and a fun one to watch.

When smith does it during the game it's smart because if you can take him off the ice for 5 mins then taking a few shots to the head is worth it
When weaver does it at the end of the game it doesnt make much sense, worst thing that's going to happen to chara is they give him 10 mins and he doesn't play the last 30 seconds
Maybe it's a pride thing? To say they aren't afraid of being pushed around by the b's...maybe cause free concussions are fun?

Price holds a 4-0 record and has allowed 1 total goal in 4 elimination games (including Sochi) in 2014
Yeah they played some good hockey and took advantage of some really stupid mistakes by the bruins that cost them at least 2 of the goals.
Some bad hockey luck last night for the B's, Tuukka played a good game )aside from that misplay in front of the net that lead to the first goal). Had a couple stellar saves. B's scorers just once again couldn't find the back of the net and not for lack of trying. Frustrating loss but back to Boston so I'm not too worried.
I don't watch a ton of habs hockey but that was probably the best/most complete game I've seen them play all season. Shot blocking was once again on point, Price was stone cold when required, they capitalized of bruins errors and turnovers, they were speedy through neutral zone and tough when they needed to be
Consequently that was the worst game I've seen the B's play in a long time. Shoot the fucking puck...when did they decide they are this pretty and skilled team that needs to dance around and make the extra 2 passes to score a goal? Defense was mush, they couldn't clear the zone to save their lives last night. Aside from that one heavy onslaught in the second they seemed very disconnected from the game.
The good thing is like all stanley cup games there is rarely ever momentum carried over from game to game. Tomorrow is a blank slate and it's going to be fucking nerve racking
