I don't get the people sayin the b's have all of a sudden stolen back the series...now we go back to TD where tuukka has a 0-10,000-5,000 record against the habs...
Also it's nice to see the refs just let them play, they called some of the more egregious penalties but last night they let most of the grinding chippy playoff hockey shit just play out

That being said people on ny talk radio make me want to murder someone. They're calling in saying to trade everyone. This always fucking happens in NYC. All these fans are saying "we need to trade Nash" or "we should never have traded gaborik, look how well he is doing!". Meanwhile these same fucking morons were the ones clammoring for gaborik to be sent packing and Nash to be brought in. And glen sather is such an incompetent prick he's prolly going to listen to this rabble. This is why the rangers are always so fucking mediocre because they never take time to actually build a team. We get one goal scorer and everyone is like "this is the guy! He's Jesus on ice! This guy is gonna win the cup for us!" Then it doesn't happen and we run the guy out of town and start the fucking process all over. That's not how you run a professional sports organization. /rant

Yeah that was a pretty sound game by MTL defensively, they block so many god damn shots it's frustrating as hell. B' have hit 10 posts in 4 games, including 3 last night which is just an insane number when you also factor in the amount of open net opportunities.
You also have to credit price for a lot of those missed shots/posts because he's in the head of the b's and they are clutching the stick just a little too tight and trying to fit the puck in a tiny window
Also no way Murray gets another start this series right? Why does MTL all of a sudden change the way their playing when the previous 3 games they've found a formula to beat the B's. They refused to engage physically which infuriates the B's and they kill them with speed. By swapping in Murray you do the exact opposite by trying to go toe-to-toe with the b's physically..
Pick any stat from his game last night whether it's getting physically beat to a loose puck for the game winner, his incredibly low corsi, or the fact that his team was heavily outshot with him on the ice there is no way therrien should keep him in the lineup

Price has been ballin out. It was so funny when the bruins tried to get in his head by saying they'd figure out how to beat him by shooting high glove and he responded by saying that that is literally the scouting report on every goalie... which is totally true. Since then he's gone beast mode on them.

I live in CT so I'm not sure what you mean by MTL media... and in any case it's just a really dumb thing to say. I don't think that makes it controversial. In fact I'd say it's sort of the opposite end of the spectrum. It'd be like saying "we've discovered how to get David Ortiz out! All you do is bring in a lefty. That's his weakness" when that's pretty much the move to get any left handed power hitter out in baseball. It's just really obvious. Most goalies are better on low shots and high blocker then high glove

yeah habs just cant keep up. boston is pretty stacked. montreal's top line is patches, desharnais, and vanek. fucking boston's third line of iginla, marchand, and whoever the fuck centers them is wayyyy better. campbell i think? soderberg?
when you have jarome iginla on your third line, think of the fire power you have...

pitt is close (maybe on par or slightly ahead of with offense), but boston's defense and structure is amazing. they always look so controlled when they're in the attacking zone or defending zone. if they clean up their neutral zone play (giveaways and allowing those stretch passes for breakaways) god damn they'll be tough to beat.
but then anaheim, la..... i think whoever wins that series is winning the stanley cup. what unbelievable clubs.

Dude what the fuck are you talking about? Boston's first line is Lucic, Iginla and Kreijci. Their third line is Eriksson, Soderberg and whoever is playing with them, currently Matt Fraser... incidentally, Montreal's third line of Bourque, Eller and Gionta is a fair measure better.

In regards to the suspension, Thorton knew what he did was fucked up and I recall him apologizing (could be wrong on that one). I also believe ski_the_east mentioned how that was his only suspension in the many years he's been in the league...Farcry from the actual shit heads in the league like cooke..
