Chicago gets the lockout cup for the summer. Lets start next season off, and hope somebody fucking new wins it, damnit. Summer transactions are up soon, so this should get started fast.
But in all seriousness, Montreal outplayed Tampa every period except the last one in game 4 and period 2 in game 3. Their 5 on 5 chances was incredibly lopsided.
they sort of remembered they were playing a hockey game for a second there, but that was a horrible showing. feel bad for anyone that paid money to see that game. boston had a few chances to really bury them, but it was mostly the wings shooting themselves in the foot. its over if they drop the next one.
Listening to Lou Nanne talk about the Cooke hit today. He thinks nothing of it. Says that shit happens all the time and is just a reaction more than anything at that speed. He's had it happen to him and has has surgery from it, he knows the situation. But because it's Cooke, it'll be a fine and some games.
That same situation happened in the Chicago game too w Bickel but nobody said a word bc there's no injury and it wasn't cooke

they talked about it a little during the boston game. basically how far the player deviates from their track and sticks out the leg determines the severity and intent, smith barely even moved, bickel kinda stuck out his knee, but cooke made a definitive motion with his leg. made sense to me.

Something isn't right with that wings squad. Datsyuk must be hurt because he was largely invisible - wouldn't surprise me if something comes out about him and a few other players were playing injured
That first game the b's played a bunch of players had a really bad flu that made its way through the team. Bergeron was saying how he had zero energy that first game so I think what you're seeing in game 2 and 3 is the b's getting healthier
I honestly laughed out loud when I saw the hit then his over the top embellishment. Being a Bruin is the only reason I support Marchi, I really don't like him one bit
Literally if the bruins and habs play next round i'll be sweating throughout the whole game.
Good game by both montreal and tampa last night, Patches dad was there at the game and crying after goal.... And that kings vs sharks was epic as well... Sharks looking pretty scary to be honest...

his knee might be hurt again, that is a good point. idk, everyone that put up points during that stretch to get the 8th seed has been non-existent almost. cant count them out, ducks took a couple last year and the wings bounced right back, so im not worried.

Same. I would hate him if he was on another team, but I tolerate him now because he is a talented little shit stain. But when you have a history of doing this and bein a rat you have no choice but to take hte criticism
It's also been pointed out that right after the collision he toe picks and his right knee actually does bend in a fucked up way. Knowing marchand it was probably at best 50/50 pain and pussy theatrics

Not lookin past detroit, but if b's face MTL it will be seriously bad for my health

I did notice that. After his first barrel roll it bends awkwardly to the outside. Still, back 5 minutes later, COME ON MARCHI.
And if we play the Habs I will most likely get an ulcer but like you said, there is no way I'm looking past Detroit at this point.

the point of the gif is that he hits his left knee then grabs his right like it's the one in pain. maybe I'm being Captain Obvious here

Correct. I was just pointing out that some hopeful b's fans were saying if you look at the gif from that angle and not the broadcasted version you'll see he toe picks and extends his knee in a funny way. The significant majority of b's fans are calling him a pussy and furious with his antics
Either way correct call on the ice, nothin more nothin less and definitely no need for the theatrical bullshit
But for marchand you don't get the benefit of the doubt in these situations, if that was bergeron going down people would be much more receptive to the idea that his right knee actually did get injured
GokuI'm really loving all the shit going on with the Smith bros right now.
Brendan is the man for not backing down, reminds me of Dino Ciccarelli a bunch
Brendan is definitely getting beat on A LOT more than Riley is. But yes, I too think it's fucking awesome to see them play against each other.

him going after chara was painful to watch. completely over powered lol. he needs to work on not getting so rustled.

Its nice to have a week off from the constant heart attack before the 2011 rematch
ContenderPretty sure bruins killer Vanek and Max decided to do nothing (2 goals total) in the Tampa series so they could save all their goals for Boston
haha that would be the least surprising thing ever...

Although playoff krecji hasn't shown his face yet and lucic has been sharpening his nut spear so it could be a wash

Hahahaha this got me.... Yeah I've read that Galchy should be back by round 2 now, but they might not put him in because they've been doing so good without him.. Don't know if that's true or not.
Interesting stat: in the Western Conference so far, the home team is 12-1. The only team to lose at home being the Kings. If CHI can hold on it'll go to 13-1, which is pretty ridiculous if you ask me.
