A's? they have a movie about them being poor, they play in a sewer, and have to be the poor red headed stepchild to the Darling of the Bay Area, SF giants.. The Twins have Target Field. That place is dope.
Raiders? Do I REALLY have to go into how unfortunate it is to be a Raider fan? At least Minny competes..
Kings? I mean, they almost moved to Anaheim, then Seattle, somehow retained their team, and now they still are having arena issues. Not that the Wolves are worth a damn either, but they arent in danger of leaving. (Basically they almost became my Northstars) They still won't win anyways, as they were cheated out of one by a fixed league back in 2003 (same with Portland the year before)
Sharks? Probably should have at least 2 cups by now but you know the story.

Really awesome showing by both teams. Could have went either way but my boy Pavel is just too damn filthy. Bruins had a few chances but Howard was on his game. I just loved how chippy Marchand was towards Smith's brother. All game he was chirping him. This is gonna be an awesome series.

that whole play was beautiful. detroit's been making some amazing plays at key moments lately. safe to say his knee is bothering him at all.

Agreed. Which is why my case for corey perry stands. He is an incredibly dirty player. Remember when he slashed the sharks guy in the face? He slashed tootoo in the face, he's also slammed into goaltenders a la lucic. He's stomped on legs during fights. He's slashed and taken runs at other goalies as well...
I'm not defending lucic at all, it's just funny when one player gets absolutely shit on and another player that is very dirty does the same exact thing on the same night and goes completely unnoticed. I'm just pointing out the hypocrisy

??? Thornton has one suspension in 15 YEARS of playing and is regarded as a highly respected veteran in his position as fighter/enforcer across the league...not goon status. He constantly obliges other fighters and consistently fight outside his weight class.

I didn't have a problem with reffing, certainly not as bad as other games. I didn't disagree with any of the 3 penalites called during the game...
I think it was a hard fought game and for the most part the refs let the players do their thing. It was nice to see they didn't try and 'control' the players and make the game about themselves instead of the two teams

under Cherry they were goons and the reputation has never completely gone away even if they aren't now. but they do have a dishonest style of playing that definitely helps keep the 'dirty team' reputation up.

thats what I'm saying, some people consider him a goon because he is a 4th line grinder that will fight but to me he just plays hard nosed hockey. but to me a goon is a player that plays limited minutes and scores few points, on the bruins thorton is the closest thing to that.
imo lucic is a power forward that can get chippy and marchand is just a pest. not goons though because of their offensive upside.
