Chicago gets the lockout cup for the summer. Lets start next season off, and hope somebody fucking new wins it, damnit. Summer transactions are up soon, so this should get started fast.

This. What an awesome fucking game it was a shame there were so many penalties, I haven't seen a regular season game get taht emotional in a while - I couldn't sleep for a while after that game. Last night was also the perfect example of why they should get rid out shootouts. Such an amazing intense and exciting game and they settle it with a skills contest. The shootout was truly less exciting than any of the normal action.

Officiating was just bad on both sides. They lost control of that game very early and decided to call very strange/weak calls and completely disregard legitimate penalties. The ones that come to mind are MTL too many men, MTL player playing puck with broken stick, Marchand smashing PK's head into ice repeatedly right in front of ref, Patch smashing his stick and having it fly onto ice in front of boychuk playing puck...etc

I sure as hell don't want to play MTL in the playoffs. B's are obviously way better 5v5 team but MTL palys to their strengths and gets under the skin of bruins players like no other team in the league. If they do end up meeting up and it goes 7 games MTL is going to be calling up players from their bantam league there is no way they can handle that physicality

President's cup curse? I think the depth the bruins have and their ability to be the best 5v5 team in the league makes them a pretty scary out in the playoffs. I don't know much about the lightning aside from their star players...why wouldn't you want to face them?

Tampa is legitimately good, unlike some of the sham teams that will make the playoffs this year but will be fortunate to win a round (looking at you fraudorado), but Boston is maybe the best team in the show at this point.

That's why generic stats displayed before a game or the ones you hear blowhard sports radio guys talk about are so stupid. Unfortunately for rask his W-L against the habs got even worse last night but he played a great game only letting in one goal on a crazy self inflicted tip. Then proceeded to stop 3 hab SO attempts. It just so happens that the only player better than him last night was sitting in the opposing net and was playing like a fucking man possessed. I think Budaj is now 6-0? in the garden, if MTL and Bos meet in the playoffs do you even bother dressing price?

we got fucking rinced against tampa earlier this season and they didn't even have stamkos , they were out everythinging us , skating , shooting , cheking you name it , they were outting us.


I'd still rather play them or toronto in the first round though.
I wanna meet boston where it counts , cause that will be a series for the ages.

ehh. No doubt would have hurt but it probably hit him in the guch, not the balls. I don't think that's worthy of a "spear" I've seen much, much worse. Emelin's hit was solid and Luc sounds like a fool saying he was going after his knees, it was the definition of a good hip check. They were going at it all night and Luc just got fed up. Emelin can be a little shit on the ice (his crosscheck to Seguins ribs last year comes to mind). Ive been hearing all these people call him a dirty player on the youtube video but Emelin ain't no saint either...

The #askneil thing is making me laugh out loud.

Speaking on the pens theres a lot of talk goin around about how the team has already lost its heart, not exactly the right time of year for that to be happening. Supposedly veteran players have come to the realization that the roster isn't build correctly to make a serious stanley cup run. Also talks about orpik having a closed door meeting with management.

Not a lot of good news for the pens lately going right into the playoffs...a first round bounce isn't unlikely

yeah it looks like a guch shot but the way emelin reacted made me think one of the boys took the impact. i definitely agree with everything else you said though

Good showing last night shuttin out the hawks. It was an awesome game to watch both teams were definitely pushing hard. Another shut out from tuukka and two goals/great performance from bergy especially at the dot will help their case for vezina/selke

Hockey fan morals question. Got a jvr jersey. Wear it cause he's coming back to philly or leave it at home cause he's no an opponent?? I mean I wear it around to bars and stuff but not sure about at a game.

Little bit of both I guess. Mainly for the player I'd say. Jvr kicked ass for us while he was here and he is a Jersey boy after all so he grew up right across the river.

Wear the jersey man, it doesn't matter if the player is on the opposing team now. Well I guess it depends on the situation. For example, let's say I went out tomorrow and bought a Habs jersey with Vanek on the back, and then next year he's in Minnesota or wherever the fuck and he only played for Montreal half a season and never really contributed to the team for any extended period of time, then I'd kinda look like an idiot wearing it. Your situation is much different though.
