Chicago gets the lockout cup for the summer. Lets start next season off, and hope somebody fucking new wins it, damnit. Summer transactions are up soon, so this should get started fast.

Other day i heard something about Miller to the Wild for Heatley, a 1st round, and either Coyle or Granlund.
Heatley...woof, even if its just till the end of the year....

anybody hear anything else? apparently he's supposed to be gone before the Olympics...But i'd think people would like to see what he can do in the Olympics before they get him...unless it could possibly raise his worth..

Holy hell, 5-0 blowout of detroit last night. Hopefully that will fire up the Flyers for what's sure to be a tough road trip. Needed a win bad last night. Hell of an effort in the first which is what the Flyers are lacking so bad this year, and many other past years as well.

Thank god it was detroit lite or I doubt that win would have came so easy. Definitely not a shutout at least.

they're also one of the teams in light on recent success of the outdoor games to be seriously pushing for an outdoor game of their own

I think between the outdoor game and the name change you're looking at a new powerhouse...will there be any player that doesn't want to play for hte arizona coyotes??

i havent heard anything about miller going to the wild, but i know hes pretty unhappy with how shitty they are this year and i know he is looking for a way out.

Minnesota could be real good with a nice consistent goalie. However, Kuemper has been playing well in replacement of Harding and Backstrom while they were injured.
Miller could be a good fit in Minnesota. They made it into the playoffs last year so we know they have the capability of making it in there again but i think they would have an even better chance with Miller. If Miller is on top of his game and playing like he used to then they would be a pretty big force to be reckoned with.



I've also been hearing a lot of chatter about Dan Girardi, I'm a huge Bruins fan and I know they've been showing some interest in him. With Seidenberg out for the rest of the season, it wouldnt surprise me if they brought him in to fill some holes in the D. However, a lot of their younger guys have been stepping up to the plate and getting shit done like Kevan Miller, Matt Bartkowski, Dougie Hamilton and of course my boy Torey Krug.

Thats heavy heavy overpayment for a UFA goalie. They're not even in "win" now mode like SJS, STL, LA, CHI etc., it would be a big mistake.

Actually, they hit 59. They had 100 shot attempts. So they miss 41% of the shots they take. And that's pretty good.

It's actually hilarious that they got 72% of the Fenwicks in that game and lost. And I bet Oil fans are all pumped, "hey this goalie seems actually good! Too bad about how the rest of the team seems to suck, but whatever."

I've never seen such a dominant performance go goalless... from any team ever. The legitimate scoring chances were somewhere in the 30's or maybe 40's. It was a constant barrage.

Congrats to Vancouver fleecing Montreal.  You'll enjoy Diaz, good 2nd pairing, amazing 3rd pairing guy who can play both special teams.  Hes not a physical guy but his positioning, stick checking and passes make him valuable.  His advanced stats are too shabby either.  Fuck the habs management..

yep Canucks are in a freefall right now. Can't score and our defense is depleted and looking shaky. Trade Edler + Booth/Burrows for a Matt Moulson type guy with the intention of re-signing him for next year. Just my 2 cents.

Gotta watch out for that Flyers third period man. Before they started the game I thought there wasn't a chance in hell we beat you guys. After 2 periods I thought we had a solid chance considering how we've been with 3rd period comebacks this year. Watched the first, listened to the second on the radio at home, passed out during the second intermission. Woke up this morning not one bit surprised with how it turned out.

Ok surprised we got 4 goals, but not surprised we won. First time in a long time we took it to ya in the tank man, feels good and was a much needed 2 on a tough road trip.

Kidding of course, I scream for philly cause I live close to philly. Easy as that. I've never lived anywhere else though, so if I moved to the west coast I'd probably still be one of those greasy cheesesteak filled fatties in orange and black like seen at the SJ game last night.

diaz is a free agent at the end of the year , he wouldn't have been signed, it makes way for beaulieu or tinordi to get more ice time.

I think we could've fetched something better than a 4th liner though , I thought diaz's value was a bit higher...

The Sharks basically gave up after their 2nd goal. Lethargic, slow, stupid decisions. Worst zone entires I've seen in a while. Niemi let in 3 goals that he otherwise wouldn't have any other night. Terrible performance to go along with how poorly the team's been playing as of late.
