Chicago gets the lockout cup for the summer. Lets start next season off, and hope somebody fucking new wins it, damnit. Summer transactions are up soon, so this should get started fast.

Is he doing good again or no? I dropped him from my fantasy team because he was on a looong stretch of sucking.

And proud of the B's, they controlled the entire third period. Would have been nice to see iggy get a goal, even on that open net

Ugh, I am kind of glad I was at work and didn't get to see it. Hunkered down in the park crew yurt listening to the first period(yes I'm lame old school and still listen to games on the classic FM radio) and thought shit was going quite well. Had to go out and shovel. Got a text score report at the end of the game and just about threw my phone out the car window. I haven't been real impressed with Emery this year though and honestly didn't think we had a chance to beat chicago anyway though so not real surprised. At least we scored on the power play though so that's something because our power play has been absolute shit this year.

Looking forward to Danny Briere and the habs tonight.


Also, real classy of Chicago to give Emery a standing O out there. What's it like to live in a city where every sports fan isn't a raging asshole???

Seeing as Danny b use to gino on the habs all the time. I think it's only fair he gets a few goals tonight against Philly. All former habs always burn Montreal anyway, god forbid the tables turn.

I wouldn't be surprised if he does.....although it isn't the playoffs yet ha. Mase in the net, wouldn't be surprised if we hold montreal to two or less. Although after the crushing loss last night it could go either way I think.

haha, it's kind of nice. although there are still plenty of ass holes, it's nothing like philly. I lived out near philly for a while and was blown away by the fans...philly fans are fucking crazy!

and no worries...i listen to games on FM/AM all the fucking time....that is, whenever there is a game on and i'm not near a tv/internet connection. glad i'm not the only one!

Brieres been okay, when he actually gets good playing time he produces but he's been playing 5-7 min a night for some reason. He better show up in the playoffs with his outrageous shooting percentage

The best way I've heard Philly fans described is Rabid. Violent, dangerous, and totally devoid of reason. That's mostly eagles fans though. It's not all of us but I would definitely say the majority of philly sports fans are indeed classless assholes. Although we also have a greater majority of actual die hard fans for most of our sports than I think other cities do. Settle down for a second here, I'm not saying other cities don't have die hard fans, but most fans of any sport in or around philly are philly fans through and through. Though you don't have to go far in PA before you run into steeler/pens fans. It's that coal seam running through the appalachians I swear, you get north or west of the AT and they are no longer Philly fans at all.

15 games seems fair, Neal should've got more too IMO, he's a repeat offender as well. Conference just got a little easier for the next few weeks I suppose.

I'm not pissed about the number of games thornton got, I just don't understand the difference between him and Neal. Obviously the outcome was different marchand got right up and orpik was pretty mangled, but what if the reverse was true? If oprik doesn't get KO'd and marchand is down on the ice for a while do the suspensions switch? Should it matter what happens to the victim of the penalty?

Not that this is surprising to anyone but the inconsistency in the way they hand down these suspensions is baffling....

And to compare it to video PASKIING posted on the last page how is that really any different than what thornton did? Just because Roussel didn't get knocked out, Rinaldo gets away without the league even looking at it even thought he has a suspension record?? It's very confusing

Regardless, it should be a fun game to watch against Vanc tonight even though it starts at like 3 in the freaking morning for us EC people

what Neal did was way closer to a hockey play than what Thornton did(I'm not saying kneeing somebody in the head is a hockey play, but comparatively much closer)....It was also way closer to looking innocent even though it wasn't

its not like Neal smashed his knee into his head, he glided by and clipped him with his knee, if he put more force into it than he did i'm sure he would have got more, but he didn't move his knee.

Thornton assaulted Orpik when he had his back turned. he slewfooted him down to the ice and punched him in the face....should have been more than 15 in my opinion.

Neal probably should have gotten more, but i'm sure the fact Marchand is a piece of shit had a factor in the decision too. Also if Marchand wasn't a piece of shit, i'm sure Neal wouldn't have done that anyways.

the teams riddled with injuries. adbelkader getting rocked last night didn't help at all. Datsyuck is playing great and I think all the young players will rally around him.

How fuckin dumb do you have to be to pick a fight with a guy that gets paid millions to smash in skulls?

Poor guy jsut wanted to get a brew at his hometown watering hole after his team got their shit pushed in a few hours earlier. You also gotta give lucic credit for not absolutely going off and ending that guys night very easily. He doesn't even show that kind of restraint on the ice, it's kind of cool to see him restrained in a highly agitated public setting

That is also the other guy pulling the "you know who you're fuckin with?" card...not lucic

Looked pretty damn clean to me, just had his head down. Definitely no elbow though. I may not know shit about hockey but I've got eyes. Looked a lot like the hit Ovy put on young Schenn last night in DC.

It was the hockey version of the twilight zone last night

Chara also leading the league in defenseman goals/PP goals, the old bird still got it. Granted a lot of that has to do with the new style of PP they are deploying by consistently throwing him to the front of the net and teams like calgary completely just leaving him alone to do whatever he wants right outside the crease
