Chicago gets the lockout cup for the summer. Lets start next season off, and hope somebody fucking new wins it, damnit. Summer transactions are up soon, so this should get started fast.

I didn't watch the game, haven't seen the hit, haven't heard anyone talk about it..sounds like it wasn't an issue but I have no idea

ouch both those hits looked painful...dude was definitely ice bathin after that game.

Dougies stick should have been on ice for sure, but that's not one of those 'left his feet' hits like winchester on kelly. The contact itself propelled dougie upward and off his skates.

Charas hit looked late in slow mo, during normal speed I dunno it's tougher to call because you see those hits all game. But he is just as guilty as dougie because the stick wasn't on the ice leading him to elbow the dude in the noggin.

Dougie should have gone for elbowing and same for chara. Suspension on chara adding in the possible late factor? ehh I dunno but I'm sure an argument could be made either way

Damn that really sucks for stamkos, and most importantly team canada!!
i was watching the wings game the other night, and he is so fucking good. the shot he had the other night was unbelievable. probably one of the least praised players. i was saying to my friend, because he plays in tampa you never really hear much about him. even though he's been up there in points the past few years. if he played in canada he would be a god

Yea really does suck, he's probably the 2nd best centre in the world right now.

But just to show how deep the talent on Team Canada goes, it's not like we're going to be searching hard for a 4th centre. Our backups are players like Spezza, who are still some of the best players in the league.

actually thinking about it Spezza is still probably going to be a backup. Top 4 centres are no doubt Crosby, Tavares, Toews, and Getzlaf

Flyers finally getting some traction. Hopefully they can keep it up and climb the standings a bit. Felt good to blank the Sens 5-0 Tues. but it always feels fucking great to take it to the Pens in their own house. Here's hoping we can keep this up.

What a weird incident..he just kind of went after backstrom? Is there a history or something between them it was so random it seemed almost personal the forearm shiver to the dome does't help his case much either

It was a weird game. After they disallowed the Kunitz goal like 20 seconds in, the crowd never really got back into the game. The flyers certainly outplayed the pens but neither team seemed particularly interested in the game either. I don't know if that's what it seemed like on tv or not, but it was odd considering the rivalry always seems to be there regardless of the circumstances.

3 games for that? Being a leafs fan I'm obviously biased, but if you compare other incidents around the league that were awarded 3 game suspensions, Kadri running the crease doesn't even come close. Ik backstrom got hurt on the play, so that didn't help Kadri's case, but still...

It wasn't even just a loss, it was a massacre.

Getting really sick of the luck the Canucks have been having this year. Leaving aside the eight or so games where their opponent has scored a goal on the first shot (including Thornton's bounce off the backboards, off the net, off Luongo, off the crossbar and in), they lose last night because Dan Boyle fans on a shot with a minute left and the puck somehow goes straight to Hertl for an open net.

There is some sort of karmic problem here.

HE RAN A GOALIE. NO SYMPATHY. If it was a hit to the head on a player yes less of a punishment but he ran the fuck over a goalie and extended his elbow. How can you defend that? There was no intent to stop only to hit... that is easily 3 games. Stop being biased because if someone ran your goalie and injured him you wouldn't want that player around.
