Chicago gets the lockout cup for the summer. Lets start next season off, and hope somebody fucking new wins it, damnit. Summer transactions are up soon, so this should get started fast.

Ah okay, thats a disgusting amount of money for Dion.  Doesn't Drew Doughty make $7 mil average? Letang 7.5? I can't see how he is comparable to him at all then again Leafs wouldn't be able to fill the amount of minutes he plays.

wtf ray emery? that was so fucked. and i know the 3rd man and shit but holtby didnt even want to fight and he just kept thumping him. and i cant believe the refs just jump in earlier holtby was down a few times. but geez cant believe no one jumped in.

I'm all for a scrap when its needed but that was just assault. Holtby didn't wanna go so that should be enough. Why didn't the ref stop that?

The day the habs get rid of Francis boullion and David descharnais is the day they decide to actually become a competent NHL team. It makes my blood boil to see them played more then anyone else.

Fuck the flyers man. Emery is a complete piece of shit. Pretty obvious Holtby wanted nothing to do with it, why would he when they are up 7-0. I don't get why the refs let it go on for so damn long either. Holtby just taking shot after shot to the back of the head.

Oh well, we end up with a win and the flyers end up with broken orbital bones, facial contusions, and no respect. Gonna be a blood bath on 12/15/13.

Oh god where do I start.

1. He's in the way of Galchenyuk playing center
2. He's small and soft on a small/soft team already but he's the worst of them
3. 3.5 mil for the next 4 years (thanks mb)
4. Brings absolutely nothing to the team, is consistently given the best LW on the team (Pacioretty) to play with as well as more minutes / powerplay time then the kids.

If he got traded (which I hope he does but he brings negative value at this point), and became successful I would be happy for him. 

I like having french canadians on the team too but there comes a point where you have to look at the players/coaches and say "will this person help the team win a cup?", the answer to DD is a big NO. 

I heard a rumor on ESPN radio today that the stars offered Ray Whitney for DD, I would take that offer and run for the hills

Man that made me mad.

No fucking way lol. The avs have some issues yet they still have the best record in the league haha. Where did you hear this though? If so than damn, thats crazy. Reminds me of Jason Werth sleeping with Chase Utleys wife.

apparently that is why dion got traded as well. fucked conroys wife and then iggy was freaking out saying if they dont trade dion he was going to leave.

went to the red wings game in edmonton last night. lol. the oilers are terrible to watch. guys were throwing jerseys on the ice.

Alright, even as a Flyers fan I can't excuse Emery's fight. Holy shit. What the hell was that all about?? Frustrated much?? I usually like a good ole Philly controversial beat down but holy crap that was a bit uncalled for.

On the upside, at least we took the devils the next night, although that isn't saying much.

The East is embarrassingly bad. Especially when Boston isn't playing well, and especially when you consider that the Red Wings are basically a western conference team in disguise (the Wings are really good still actually). Outside of those two and the Penguins there isn't a team I think has even a remote shot at the cup.

And how about that Metropolitan division? of the 14 Western conference teams, 12 would currently be in the playoffs in that division. 10 would sit in second place.

Nice logic there, so what do you think of teams that have never won a cup??

I'm not super happy with the Flyers so far this year but it still beats the hell outta watching football IMO.

Prepare for Sidney Crosby's numbers as well as the Pens' overhyped-ness to go richter when they win the presidents trophy by like 10+ points due to their hilarious division.

The Isles are in 2nd place in that division. They have 6 wins. Every western team other than Edmonton has at least that many wins right now.

Only way an eastern team wins is if the western team goes into the cup final in tatters from the previous 3 game bloodbath - as per usual, but even more evident this year.

Yea its pretty embarrassing how bad the East is compared to the West, though its been like this for a few years now, the west is just much more competitive.

Currently 6 of the top 7 teams are Western
And 8 of the bottom 9 teams are Eastern

The Penguins are pretty much getting the Canucks treatment, have such a bad division you don't even have to play well to make the playoffs and compete for the Presidents.
Now my Canucks are in the hardest division and are gonna have to play really well all season just to make the playoffs

Seriously. Boyle gets slammed into the boards on the numbers and knocked out cold, and he's already back. Burns gets hit in the gums and he's still sitting out.

I have the feeling that its' a coverup for another injury. San Jose doesn't tell people about injuries in-season ever, and I was surprised they even brought up the gum thing to begin with.

Here's hoping he gets back out there soon, because 50 shots a night ain't doing it.
