Whats up NS... A few weeks back my brother and I had our first big race of the season, so we decided to do a highlight reel about our weekend. This was our first attempt at it but we already plan on getting rid of the text and replacing it with voice over. Also we plan on getting more on track footage from turns. Its a little shaky due to the fact I haven't had the funds to get a hold of a stabilizer and a better tripod. Let us know what you think and there will be plenty more since our next week is mid July and like us on Facebook!
Pretty cool stuff. What are the specs on your vehicle? I'm mainly interested in weight, gearing, ponies to the wheels, and top speed on most tracks. Also, is is unsafe to race with degraded tires?
The car is called a Formula Continental, they range from 10-50k. This one runs on a Ford Pinto motor that pushes out 150hp, but there is also a Ford Zetec motor that can be ran as well. This is my bro's racecar I help crew and film for him, but the car weighs 1200 pounds with him in it. Gearing all depends on the track so this also can determine the top speed which is about 150 mph. The tire is degrading but you aren't seeing it as much as you think, what you are seeing is the collection of old rubber collecting on the tire and coming off of it.
Thats super sick man! My dad and I rally race a 1973 toyota corolla. I codrive but im looking to get a stage prepped car of my own to drive. Good luck man!
