I just got back from climbing. I used to climb 100+ days per year, everywhere across North America. I have a particular love for Yosemite and Squamish, but the East Coast has some amazing rock as well. I mostly trad climb but go sport climbing on occasion.
Above rock though, I greatly prefer ice climbing. There's just something about tackling a proud ice climb. I also really enjoy mixed climbing. At this point I've climbed pretty much every "main" area in the US, and dozens upon dozens of smaller areas. As far as grades...I don't spray. I climb for me, for my personal enjoyment, to push myself, and to have fun in beautiful places with good friends. I have zero interest in projecting a 5.hard sport route for 60-90 tries to claim I have redpointed such and such a route.
Oh, and to the guy who said he climbed the Nose on El Cap free at 5.13...you're full of shit.
I dont really get out a lot but ive been watching a lot of Chris Sharma lately. he's like a monkey
