But really, it all depends on what you want to ski. Park? Shorter park skis made for females will suit you well. Softer flex patterns, and shorter than 150. If you want new, I would look at maybe the Armada Cantika which comes in a 150. But really, any softer shorter park ski will do well, even if they are a few years old. If you want a mid-fat, then I would look closer to a 155-163. Even if you're short, its a lot easier to charge on a longer ski. You can find older cheap skis that will fit that, but if you want non-traditional camber then be prepared to spend a bit more. If you want pow skis, i would bet you won't be able to find any shorter than 165. And thats good, ive found that longer pow skis are significantly better. You also want some form of reverse camber. A 105 waisted reverse camber ski will usually float better than a 120 traditional camber ski (not always true, but thats what ive found).
If i were you i would demo some skis next year and you can see what you like. Even if you don't want to buy a new ski, the demo's will give you a better idea of the general ski that fits you. Maybe you're meant to ski a stiff ski, maybe you will like longer skis than you think, but the only way to find out is to try them.
As for boots, DO NOT just order them online. Even full tilts. Go to a good shop, and get fitted. If you are broke, be an asshole and get fitted in store, then order the boots cheaper online. But try not to do that, it kills stores, and their help in fitting you should be compensated. Even as a beginner skier, bad fitting, bad quality boots will ruin your season.
Also bindings. Your short and a girl and i've seen enough of you almost naked to know you shouldn't get anything above a 12 din, and thats pushing it. A 10 din will be fine. These are pretty cheap new, but really cheap if you check ebay or BST.
Be prepared to spend this summer and into the ski season and more money than you think getting your gear together, and watch for deals. The right shit might not be for sale this week or even month, but it will be, you just have to watch for it.
