Best ISO setting for video on D800?

Hey guys I just wanted to see if someone could educate me on the best ISO's for filming again.  I remember reading previously that some ISO's held up better then others when shooting video.  Some of my shots have seemed a bit noisy and I thought I'd make sure I'm hitting the "prime" ISOs for my camera (Nikon D800).  I faintly remember something about multiples of 160?  Any help on what the best settings are for as noise-free of an image as possible would be great!

Yes multiples of 160 seem to be the best. What iso did you shoot at when you noticed noise?

The D800's base/native ISO is 74, which is marked as ISO 100 in the camera (= creative rounding up).

On Canon's the native ISO is usually 158, which is marked as ISO 200 on the camera.

If you shoot in multiples of the native ISO you should be fine (100, 200, 400, 800, 1600, etc..).

You can look this information up for each camera on DxOMark.

For example go to http://www.dxomark.com/index.php/Cameras/Camera-Sensor-Database/Nikon/D800 for the D800, go to Measurements > ISO Sensitivity, and then the native base ISO is the lowest measured ISO. You can hover your mouse over the measurements to get their exact measurement.

As you see they always map the base ISO to 100 or 200 and get on with it, so as long as you know your camera's minimum and work in multiples you are golden.

^ actually to be more correct I think you don't need to look for the lowest measurement, but the lowest measurement where the ISO decreases linearly / is on a straight line with all the higher ones. So for a Canon 7D the native ISO is 159.

I think it was around ISO 800 eheath.  Is there another source for the ISO sensitivity?  I looked at that chart but it seemed to show just a linear progression through the different ISOs in the base that you mentioned.
