Same here. I would never spend a lot of money on something that I lose all the time and will eventually run out. If it was something nicer, like a zippo, that looks classier and I can refuel, I would be all over it
I would be shocked if these Fall button downs are too wide for you. I am 5'10" and about 155 and a medium is almost too tight on me (pre-wash) and I wear my clothing fitted.
If you are in or near Denver you can come try one on to see how it drapes on you. Otherwise I'd suggest popping into one of our boutiques when we have them in-store to see them in person. They are definitely slim fitting.
These particular ones we have in the first release will be $38. Hat prices tend to fluctuate based upon the cost of the fabric you use and the amount of upgrades you include (ie metal eyelits, tricoat mesh backing, ID Tape, tagging, etc). All of that adds up into the price of the piece.
New styles will come out but not necessarily for this Fall/Winter. Just explaining pricing for other buckets that may be more or less from a pricing standpoint. Same goes with other hat styles that are coming out over the next 12-18 months. Special fabrics for collaborations or releases can cause prices to be higher due to the cost of those special fabrics.
since youre responding to the thread at the moment pete, with the woolrich collab are those going to be accents (just going off the top picture it looks like pieces of the fabric) on the shirts or how did you go about that? also, are those in the 1st drop or second?
Those are various fabrics we found in their mills that have been locked up for up to 50 years. They remained there from an earlier era and no one has touched them since. We are using them for blankets and headwear. Other pieces use more traditional Woolrich Wools.
All Woolrich stuff will be in a separate release. This first release is a smaller range and the focus was on having each piece be interesting, unique cut-and-sew, with really high quality fabrics and construction. The button downs are pretty amazing in person. They drape really really well too. Anyone who comes in to check them out will be able to give their own opinion of them.
The later drops have all the hoodies and jackets with more headwear. The hoodies are quite a bit different from last year. All of them have double folded side ribbing gussets and flatlocked stitching. They are also 450gsm weight. Construction aside, the biggest difference is there is only 1 graphic hoodie and that was designed by Mike Cherman (He has done A$AP Rocky's album covers and does stuff for Nike and countless name brands). The rest are really diverse with the focus on unlikely fabric combinations, color blocked printed patterns, and various applications.
But there will be releases throughout the season and we spent a lot of time on each piece. It should show in what you get.
Sorry for asking all of these questions but i just have one more, i see that you are using all these cool vintage fabrics but will you be having any hoodies similar to the lohi, script, or vault from last
year?
any plans for a bigger fitting hat soon? maybe a strapback maybe another new era collab? all the hats look dope but just dont fit for us watermelon heads
