Any ways to make some $?

Anyone know any ways to make money? I live in a small town and i already have a job, I just don't get enough hours. Im not looking to hop into a network marketing business *pyramid scheme*, or scam people, just a creative way to make some extra cash to buy some non essential things, since all of my money i currently make goes towards car insurance, rent, and a few other bills.

I know a bit about geology, a bit more about skiing and mountain biking, and i'm interested in politics. I have no degrees, but i am a college student. Also know quite a bit about football. How does one go about starting a blog that could eventually gain advertising?
