at that point everyone still admired him and thought he was a good person, very few people would believe he was going to turn out to be Voldemort and it would make killing him difficult, not to mention the life-sentence in Azkaban that would be given to whoever had done it. He was also, at that point, immensely powerful and very few wizards would have been able to defeat him. Not to mention he didn't start gaining power until ten years after leaving Hogwarts which means that whoever went back to kill him would have to spend 10 years basically in hiding in order not to be seen by anyone who knew them or impact the course of history in any other way.

also: quiddich is dumb as hell. the games are hardly ever finished with a team's score from goals making a 150 point difference. If i were a quiddich coach i would take all my chasers and make them help the seekers. theres more value in them helping catch the snitch within the amount of time it would take the other team to get a 150 point lead. and if you got the beaters to play tight D it would take even longer.
