Hi dudes,

First off, I am just wondering if there is an active cult on NS for this shit?

Second, I am wanting to start taking creatine and im curious what you guys think about differnt brands?

But don't use supplements. That's what I do and it makes it more fulfilling when I see results. Plus I'm skinny and would look weird if I were huge. Food for thought. Gl

I did a cycle of cel-tech a few months ago, mostly out of curiosity since there's so much conflicting information and controversy about creatine. I didn't notice any crazy weight gain, or huge muscle mass increase. What was very noticeable was a strength increase and especially muscle endurance after about 2 weeks. Most of my lifts went up by 15-20% in weight, but stuff like surfing and hiking got more difficult since it's easy to get dehydrated quickly and develop headaches. Drinking a gallon of water every day isn't as easy as it sounds, especially if you're actively moving around outdoors.

eh, just rock a camelback. but yeah, hangovers are 2x worse for me when on creatine.

how cool is thee feeling of being waay stronger though? its super cool.

Well, I did a bit of research and spoke to a few buddies and decided im going to order some powdered creatine and try it out for a month and see how it feels at football and in the gym.

check out bodybuilding.com for some more legit answers but basically any brand of creatine monohydrate is the same thing so buy the cheapest one. micronized is better because it will mix better but creatine does not "dissolve" in water so i usually just take a spoonful like a shot and chase it with lots of water.

You do not need to "load" creatine contrary to what many people will tell you. It simply allows your muscles to retain more water which helps them recover faster so you can work out again sooner.

Youll be happy with it.

I always recomend people to do the loading protocol, simply because the effects come on much quicker and you can really notice the strength increase. If you just take 5 grams per day you will end up in the same spot as if you had loaded, but it will take around a month to get there. I think you lose out on the phsycological "wow factor" when you dont load it. My 2 cents.

Not trying to argue with anyone here but i have dozens of friends that used to take creatine and like half of them got super fat, every single one of them regrets taking it and says its terrible.

I actually gained a lot of weight wall maintaining a more lean look. The only problems i have had with creatine is that it make me breakout very bad. On the bodybuidling websites, it denies the connection with acne. However, my dermatologist said that creatine can cause acne. That said my friend takes creatine and didn't break out and i did and i broke out. It might be just a reaction with my body differently. Who knows.

haha, okay. I bet they dont say anything about all the food they ate to get super fat, or regret eating it.

ATP = energy
creatine turns into creatine phosphate when ingested then donates it's phosphate to ADP to turn back into ATP so your muscles have more energy recycled more often and overall more readily available for use.

It's common to get duped into stereotypes, but it'd be more feasible that your friends just ate poorly and gained fat along with muscle which is all too common.

okay so what you're gonna wanna do is go with regular old creatine. drink 1 cup in the morning, 1 in the middle of the day, and one at night. you won't even have to go to the gym anymore, you'll be ripped in days man!
