I dont know a whole lot about bindings...im looking for a really lightweight park one. I used to use the Marker Griffons and im pretty much just looking for a good light one. ive heard the jesters are pretty nice (not the lightest) and ive heard that people have mixed feelings about the squires. So any certain ones? markers? Rossignols? idk
It depends if you want longevity and durability in binding, or light with decent durability. You have to make the decision if it's worth it to pay an extra price for the very durable FKS that has some weight to it or have a light Marker binding that you will have to replace more often. If you post your height and weight people will be able to help you out with choosing the appropriate binding to your specifications.
Binding weight does NOT matter for park skis, the swing weight of the ski is what you will be feeling. If you feel like your skis are to heavy, go to the gym.
ok thanks guys...now im stuck between the squires and the griffins (id like fks but not gonna get them:(.
the only reason id get the squires is cuz they are practicaly the same just a bit lighter...i know binding wieght dosnt matter to much but if they are the same i might as well get them.my dim is about 8. any thoughts?
if your not looking for a touring binding why would you worry abot weight, are your feet getting sore on the chairlift? or do you want to be able to pop higher? honestly griffons should be fine for you, check out the attack 13 for tyrolia/4frnt or just go squires, ive broken griffons, barrons, fks, race bindings, look pivot, never broke my squire, it was just way too low of a din for me.. 12 I think? I usually ride at 12 and maxing out the spring doesnt work super well, too much tension and it forces you out when you are a quarter way there
Ya squires are a downgrade, they are completely made of plastic and will break on you like no other, get griffons again they are a decent binding for the price. They will hold up much better that the squires.
