I find the forum layout on NS to be one of the best I've come across. The accessibility is pretty good, and the "faunt" is easy to read.
One thing which could do with a change, though, is the colour - that nasty dull yellow/ochre which you see on the top-left hand box, and when you hold the mouse above all the links across the top of the page. It could surely be freshened up a bit?
