Making My Own Skis! Using a Vacuum Press

Ok so im basically looking for advice,tips,tricks and suggestions from people who have made their own skis with a vacuum pump. Examples-- what kind of vacuum bag, what kind of vacuum. please use pictures if you have. thanks to all that contribute!!!

yes but i thought i would experiment and try some new designs. skiing is one thing, skiing on a pair of sticks you made yourself is another.

yes ive read all of ninetyfour thread and although it was helpful most on there use a pneumatic press. thanks for the suggestion

cool! okay so one of the main things i was wondering is how people are doing the vacuum thing with what looks like just a half a bag or a plastic film over the skis. for example these guys >>> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Jzj-vTH9G4 can someone explain how the do that. like do they just tape it down or what. and does it work?? thanks
