Hey guys,
I know this not really the place but I'd figured I'll get the most answers here,
I'm looking for a good halfpipe to ride in the summer,
seeing as going to NZ is too expensive for me this year I'm looking for a place in Europe.
I know Les deux alpes has one, is there anyone that can give me a review on how good it is?
same thing with Saas fee, anyone ever ride that halfpipe?
Thanks in advance!

Hintertux in Austria looks awesome. I was there a very long time ago. Check out their website and see for yourself. I am jealous that you are going skiing in the summer.

unfortunately Hintertux doesn't have a halfpipe during summer I think! And i was there in april and the snow was already so bad!

saas fee has a pipe, they claim it to be 22ft but when ive ridden it in past summers ive thought its more like 19 or 20, still alot of fun though!

Do any of the summer camps like windels or COC build a pipe?

L2A has two HP, a smaller one and a 22ft-ish one, usually pretty well shaped. That being said, it's always better going up there at the beginning of July instead of end of July/August if you want to sk ia decent HP.

Skied a fair bit at Les Deux Alpes last summer, their 22ft is pretty legit! The French are all over their pipe so that's usually what gets looked after the most. The jumps are all pretty fun, the rails are fine but nothing special... especially compared to the rails over here! But ya, if you're just going for pipe mainly then L2A would be rad!

I know there is one on Hood in the summer. I know Momentum has one too.

I agree with what has been said about the deux alpes pipe(s). The mini is a tonne of fun and the superpipe is pretty well maintained and due to the way the glacier faces you dont end up with one slushy and one icy wall and it will be pretty firm up until half 10/11 most days by around then the kickers have softened up enough to ride comfortably.
