Never really cared about where I went. Ended up at a small liberal arts school in Colorado. For grad school my dream is Cambrdige, and I'm pretty determined to get in
went to Niagara University in western NY. originally skeptical because there wasn't much skiing. but it was the best 4 years of my life. would definitely go there if i had to do it all over.
Actual- University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana
I guess it was the better choice considering its one of the best universities in the world and all... and the number one university in the world for my program... oh well :(
wanted to go to UBC but ended up going to UW madison. madison is ranked higher for my program. i think it's also ahead in world rankings. the only reason i want ubc is because whistler is so close. oh well. also a couple days ago i just realized that i got in to the highest ranked college out of every one in my graduating class. haha dumbass close minded fucks
why don't you want to move far away from home? do it pussy. if i got to go through the college application process again I'd apply to schools in europe too.
Dream college was CU Boulder, that's where I went.
If I could do it over again, I'd probably have stayed somewhere closer to home (i'm from NJ). I would have greatly preferred to be within driving distance from home. But overall it was a very good experience.
Dream College: Lehigh University
Where I'm at: Washington State University
I would totally do it all over again. I could have gotten into Lehigh for sure. My mom would have had one hell of a fit over me attending a private school, though. WSU has been tons of fun, I've met tons of great people, and I've done really well so far.
Dream School: University of Denver
Actual: University of Minnesota - Twin Cities
I got into a highly competitive program at Minnesota and with scholarships I'm paying next to nothing in tuition compared to what I'd be paying at DU. As much as the skiing and everything sucks in MN, Minneapolis is rad overall and it's 100% a smarter choice for me to go to school here
I don't know where my dream school was. I just wanted to get out of my little hometown and see somewhere else. A lot of schools sounded good.
I ended up going to Georgetown. It was ok and I learned a lot and made some good friends, but if I was doing it all over again, I don't think I'd go there.
I never really had a "dream" school. Obviously, every kid wants to go to Harvard, Yale, etc when they're growing up, but I decided to be realistic and I also wanted to stay local, so I only applied to two schools: Michigan State and the University of Michigan. Got into both, but liked State's campus better and my girlfriend (now fiancee...fucking weird to say that) and most of my good high school friends were going there, sooo that's where I went! I roomed blind my freshman year and ended up meeting two of my best friends and having a great time. If I could do it all over again I wouldn't change a thing.
MIT is one of the hardest schools to get into. MIT is where the genius science and math kids go, not just the workhard booksmart kids.
Tbh I don't believe he would get in if he got denied from the other schools, and when I say that I don't mean to take anything away from those that denied him.
I mean yeah, I did study kinda hard, but never really focused that much on grades. I just took like literally every class (academic and art) my school has and did well on my sat's. I didn't do any pf that phony bullshit extracurricular "save the world" stuff either. I think I got in as one of the like several spots for atypical, not study hard, not super-genius students who just like to do and try everything and anything. The admissions people there are really smart and super meticulous, and it's not like they "let you in," it's more like they pick you, so in that sense there's not a lot you can do to get in other than just do your own thing.
