there not technically calling it a revolution yet but i would call 5 million people protesting a revolution

have you noticed that our government has not covered it at all?? anyone?

He's merely explaining why you are seeing a lack of coverage, which is what you were complaining about. There are politics to this equation that you can't simply ignore. And that is why the internet is at your fingertips, plenty of coverage to be unearthed there. It's the same as Obama promising to recognize the Armenian genocide, but then never following through because of our political stance with Turkey. I'm Armenian and it bothers me, but I get the politics behind the bullshit. Pal.

My sister and mom have been planning a trip to Turkey for the past couple months. A day or two before their departure, all of this turmoil arises. They still went, and are there now. From what they've conveyed, it's not complete unrest, but more so along the lines of civil disobedience. They said they've seen some life-threatening stuff so far but the majority of the uprisings have just been picketing citizens (similar to the occupy movements, although the police are using tear gas). The most violent situations have been caused by the police trying to tame screaming crowds.
