I've had a Flickr account since August last year and still haven't quite got my head around it. If anyone has any ideas of how to get your photos out there to a wider audience besides tagging please help me out. Thanks!
I'm in the same boat, I just use a lot of tags and put them in popular groups and that has seemed to help me out a bit, as well as commenting & favouriting other pictures.
Tag them, add them to 60+ groups, comment on other peoples photos in that group... take better photos? (I'm not trying to be mean about it, I haven't looked at your flickr so I'm not commenting on your work)
Then you get to sit back while a bunch of people post sparkly animated gifs inviting you to their "BEST SHOTS ON FLICKR" and "NO SERIOUSLY BEST PHOTOS EVER ON FLICKR" and "FUCK THE OTHER DUDES THESE ARE THE BEST PHOTOS ON FLICKR" flickr clubs, while everyone else tells you how great a "Capture" it is.
"great capture"
"awesome capture"
It's a photo.
Sorry, I'm in a cynical mood and think flickr is silly short of being a good place to host your photos.
also, I know that anytime someone adds me as a "contact", i'll give their photos a lookthrough even though I rarely comment. maybe try adding a couple people you want to follow as a contact when you find them?
