Burn (Cool Firefighter Documentary)

I watched this documentary at work today at our union hall (I'm a professional firefighter) and not only is it a badass story, it does deserve to get out so they can get some more funding.  We raised 6g with movie showings and it is eyeopening how good we have it here with pretty modern engines and reliable breathing apparatus etc.  All the funds donated go to support the firefighters in it through the Leary charity which supports injured guys and gives them money to buy essential gear.  Anyway, I'll let the video speak for itself or else most people wont read.

Alot of people look down on firefighters because of the stereotype that they're all minority high school drop outs.

The amount of courage that your average firefighter shows when real shit goes down is fucking unprecedented.

Here most guys are about 25 or so when they get on and almost all have either a trade or a degree.  In fact, I can only think of 2 people in my recruit class that didn't have post secondary, and they both went to college but didn't graduate.  That's not counting fire school of course.  I do agree, sometimes smart people are smart because they avoid situations we go into lol

I actually had tickets to go to a showing of this but couldn't make it. Glad my money still went to a good cause.

I went to a CPR course at a fire station yesterday and one was a prick, one was a dumbass, and one was a cool ass short guy with a handlebar mustache. They all had dips in the whole time.

Pretty cool guys though

Just bumping this thread because for this week, you can rent the movie off itunes for $0.99, or purchase it in HD for $10. Definitely worth it.
