this year my schools security has gone from almost non existant to incredibly high. Before newtown I could leave the school during free periods and do whatever and come back without any questions being asked. Since the tragedy there are police at the doors all the time and they take your name and grade whenever you leave or enter. How has everyone elses schools been affected?
Are you saying you will realize what freedom actually is because the new country will possess actual freedom compared to (presumably) the states? Or that the new country will have no freedom compared to the states and you will have realized that the states was where true freedom lied?
I lived in Switzerland... seemed pretty free. Spent more than a month living in Paris as well, also felt pretty free. Will be living in Russia for about 3 months, may be some security stuff there, but it will be for the Olympics, so I expect that. Hope to also live in Canada; I hear they have "freedom" there.
My school hired two police officers who are both yet to do anything but hold open doors and say, "Have a nice day." They both get paid more than the teachers.
they put little metal tabs in thee door jam so the doors dont close all the way so they can keep them locked all day. so when there is a threat they flip the tab so the door shuts all the way and locks so techers dont have to go outside to lock doors. and not a single teacher uses it. waste of money.
