theres a few bikers on here so i thought i might as well ask..
Im looking at getting a cross bike this summer, i know pretty much nothing about road/cross bikes, until now ive only cared about mtn biking but i want something ultra versatile and a cross bike seems like the best option. ill probably spend most of my time doing 10-70mile road rides and across town. but i want something a little tougher than the average road only bike, and i want the ability to cruise some gravel service roads, smooth singletrack etc when i come across it.
i dont want some heavy, soft sluggish commuter type bike. im looking for something thats still pretty aggressive and racey, without being completely cross race oriented, and wont suck when im doing an all day ride.
im thinking like 80% road, 20% dirt/mixed conditions is what ill be doing.
