This may be a long post and there may be some repeated posts so I'm sorry, but I'll try and keep them succinct .
First off something needs to be done about karma/upvote, possibly synthesize them, either way I haven't adjusted somebodies karma in a long time, months probably, I presume a lot of people are behaving the same way, simply because it's easier than having to decide, what do I rate this person? I'll just upvote them.
The comments section needs to be improved, 99 times out of a hundred I won't go back to check if there's been any comments in response to mine, simply because I forget where I comment and it's unlikely there has been. However if there was (as often suggested) a notification system this problem would be solved, votes could also be added to comments.
While we're on the subject of notifications, Myself and a lot of the other(Scottish at least) Brits check the regionals every few days, however most of the time there's no new comments. This results in a lot of wasted time. If it was possible to turn on notifications when somebody posts that'd be really useful.
Another possibility is having the ability to "sort by" as in you can sort by what it is currently(time of last post) or you could have number of upvotes, when the thread was created(this would be so damn useful for B/S/T) there's other uses for the sorting, but that's the ones that come to mind.
B/S/T could do with some improvements, which I can understand is difficult.
Having it split into categories would be seriously useful, lets say somebody's looking to buy a pair of skis, they go to B/S/T and each page is filled with 40 threads with people selling outerwear. Which is why I reckon it should be sorted into at least softgoods (gloves,outerwear,tee shirts(another possibility is having summer gear/winter gear, but I think the former is better) etc.)
An embed button(simply inputs [img][/img] into the text box would be simple but so useful with the amount of gifs/memes that I post and others do) also would be useful if you could highlight the link and simply have the imgcode wrap around the .jpeg link.
While we're on the subject of links, I feel this has been done badly. Mainly the fact that when you input a jpeg and wrap it with the imgcode, it will still be a hyperlink until you click on the link and remove it using the red remove button. As you can see:

It would be much better if it simply removed it by default, there's a hyperlink button, if anybody wants it they can add it, hyperlinks are used so rarely on ns though it's ridiculous, but images are used more commonly than anything.
Mobile had some really cool improvements when they did the last big update, but it did more harm than good. The fact that you can't view message history any more(and for some stupid reason requesting the desktop site is now blocked) which is absolutely useless, It basically means if you're buying from someone you need to do it on a computer(IMO) there's other annoying things. Being able to upvote/downvote posts rather than just threads would be pretty sweet.
Another enormous flaw is that "my threads" is done by when you last viewed the thread, absolutely useless if you have many pages like I do. have it either when the last post was, or have the option to change it.
The news is really lacking as of late, it has to be something big(e.g you coming back as GM) to make the homepage, possibly have a widget showing the 5 latest news articles, or the 5 hottest, or something like that would really help.
I'm sure the m&a guys will all agree when we say NS needs to sort out it's photo embedding, when you embed a photo it loses an insane amount of quality, everything about it just looks terrible compared to an equivalent crop of the original file.
Ability to report posts would be nice, I feel like I'm harassing a lot of the mods with all the pms I send them asking them to "move this, delete that" and It's gotten to the stage where I really stop doing it because of this.
While we're on the subject of mods, the ability to edit posts would be sweet, some users are against people being able to change posts, but if you had an edit history I don't foresee it being a problem, however if people are still against it at LEAST give the mods the ability to edit posts, all the dead images in the huge threads are really annoying.
And on the topic of huge threads, having every page number listed in the sub forum is really quite annoying, have 1,2,3 and then 3rd last,2nd last,last IMO.
The reviews could do with an improvement, I did a couple, but I doubt people check them so I don't see the point in it, if that was improved I'd be more inclined to make some, I can't think of any specific suggestions it's just terrible overall.
A couple minor niggles now:
Video of the day/week/month is either broken or extremely stupid at choosing the video
When a thread that has a gif in the original post gets on the homepage the gif ignores the boundaries and just displays the full image.
The large threads have lately been missing out the last few pages, so you have to manually type them in, pretty annoying but not a huge problem.
Would be good to have a bit more use with the friends function, being able to see who has added you would be good.
Ns store could do with being restocked, although I presume you already knew that. Also when you're in the ns store you can't click your way out(through the subheadings on forum, news, etc, because when you move off one of the headings it reverts back to the store)
Last time I tried to change my avatar I couldn't(and I know others had the same problem, not sure if it's gone, haven't tried yet)
