I have potentially been given the opportunity to attend Killington Mountain School, or Waterville Valley Academy next winter. My reason for posting is asking which one? I am concerned in terms of park quality, mountain quality, what comps are being held at each mountain, and for the alumni, which school offers better progression, training, etc.
I have heard loads of good things of KMS, but I cannot give an honest opinion on which to attend. If you look up what each is like I am sure you will find useful information, or see who has gone there in the past and message them on facebook/ns and see what they have to say about it! Anyways, that so sick that you get to go to either one! Big up and keep workin hard man!
Theres no doubt there both good schools, but WVA is unparalleled (i went there).. They have a full dry slope setup including olympic tramps open all year round. They have a rop tow that allows you to lap the 3 jump line in under a minute. Also hands down the best coach in the game Dan Shuffelton. Look at the alumni hes produced Clarke, Martini, Hathaway. Vila etc.... Shuffelton will take you to the top.
go to WVA for sure i ski on their weekend team ( WVBBTS ) and the academy kids ( WVA ) are so fucking good. One of the kids on the team shot with meathead films this year and another came in 2nd at the USSA junior world olympics in Italy. The coaching is great and in the fall their building a new indoor training facility (tramp setup ) next to the year-round airbag setup.
