Don't fall here: Nike team jibs a chairlift at Ski Bowl
Words by: Peter Alport
“I designed and built two features in April for Nike: one at Mt. Hood Skibowl, the other at Mt. Bachelor. The Skibowl lift area set up had been an idea for a couple years and finally came together. A tricky build to say the least, but everything worked out perfectly.
The Mt. Bachelor “Peace Sign” had been in the works for quite some time too. The Peace Sign was fairly simple, but the idea for the shot was a little more thought out. I wanted to have two skiers and one snowboarder on the feature at the same time, shot from above, using a lift. I work with both skiers and snowboarders professionally and don’t appreciate the negativity between the two. I hope Nate Abbott’s photo of the Peace Sign will send a message that we are all in this for the same reason: to have fun no matter what you ride.
Enjoy this edit of Jossi Wells, Gus Kenworthy, TJ Schiller, and Johnnie Paxson.”
Also that rail they were sliding... I mean I know that's the point, but if you crashed or fell off of it, you'd be toast. So much shit to get mangled in.
