Giro Shiv 2 ear pads

I am thinking of buying a Shiv 2 helmet but am not sure if the ear pads can be completely removed so I can just wear a beanie and goggles under it. i know you can remove the pads on the inside but not sure about the ear pads. Does anybody know??
