Rode VMP Question about mount

So awhile back i smashed my videomic and the shitty shockproof mount crumbled to pieces.

Is there anyway to just install a hotshoe mount to the mic itself so it just sits on the camera?

Or is there another, hopefully better more sturdy mount that I can buy?

I will be using it on my glidecam and tripod

I don't know about the vmp, but with the videomic you can remove the shock mount, and just attach the hotshoe to the mic itself, you have to file down a small nub though
