so CS 7 is going "all cloud" no more physical software... so you download a copy from the cloud and it auto-updates... ( it does work offline) and don't forget you're now PAYING MONTHLY to use it. (flat fee or per program) So what's to stop them from hiking up the price incrementally?

i know student is like $50 a month for the whole suite, i just pay for premiere which is $30 a month without any student discount

student teacher edition right when it got announced was $20 a month, i'm under the student plan and it says $20 not $50 when i check my rebill date for the whole creative suite

the $20 a month is only for the first year but still, it's a solid deal.

This I think is going to be one of the best things to happen in a while. All these extra people actually paying for software in stead of pirating means adobe will have so much more money to invest in improving the program's. I also really like that they have gone away from the cycles for releases, now if a new tool comes out you get it straight away instead of waiting until the next release. The best part is though is if you work for a company who use CC then you can use it at home at no extra cost. So your company pays the bills and you get all the adobe goodness for free.

I still use CS3 for all my design work. It still works very well... some great usability upgrades in newer ones, but fuck it I'm cheap.

There are a few things which will speed up my workflow. The main is the refine edge tool in after effects , if you use it in ps you will know how usefull it is and being able to use it with the roto brush wil save a lot of time

The match cour tool in spee grade is cool tool. Now a client can bring in an image they like cour wise and its one click to match it to your footage. Very cool if you ask me.

Finally the fact premieres mercury playback engine is open to anyone with any computer is big for all the kids using MacBooks

Overall it's a pretty big release function wise
