He is saying they don't have access to their own parks that they design. Andreas can do whatever the hell he wants at his park; Will and the others have to make something out of a park that is not their own.

I've also had the idea they run everyone at once in one game of skate. So like, all have to do the trick set. That would be pretty crazy, but shorter I guess.

Incorrect bud.

I saying that people dont normally spend the time to film an edit on small back yard rails like that. If they did I'm sure many other people would come out with some crazy stuff that would be on par with Andreas stuff.

People dont see this crazy tech stuff from pro skiers to often because they have other obligations like filming for a movie part, comps, traveling, and park shoots. More or less things that dont involve small park rails, and that then limits crazy tech stuff.

All right, I see what you're saying now. But the pros you're referring to ski so many different rail set ups of all sizes and are almost always publicized, so you would expect to see some of the same tech stuff Andreas' is doing if they were capable of it.

Basically I'm not entirely convinced that a lack of opportunity is what's preventing others from doing the same tricks as Andreas; they either aren't interested in doing those tricks (which I can appreciate since a lot of it is just spinning and pretzelling (yawn)) or they just aren't able to.

Either way this is a pretty useless point to discuss.

you see TC shred mammoth for a few minutes in an edit. it's pretty rad. however, it's not as tech as hatveit's because the features are bigger, they are not pertaining to each skier's exact preferences, and the crew may only have 20 laps in a day to get used to the feature.

on the contrary, hatveit can sit down in his house, think of a low consequence feature he wants to do a flip on to, and then go build it. there is no middle man with hatveit. then, he gets whoever to pull him on the sled and he'll log hundreds of hits on different features in a couple hours, something most skiers cannot do. it is this that gives hatveit a step up.

find me a park where you can hit an up down rail like hatveit has set up with two rails, placed perfectly apart like that, about 18 inches off the ground. if almost any other skier in the world wanted to do a 720 switch up, he'd have to find an adequate a-frame or battleship, or even rarer - a gap like hatveit has set up. both the other features i mentioned would send a skier 8-10 feet above the ground with 4-6 feet of metal underneath him, something much more difficult for progression. in eye trip (i think) LJ throws a 3 swap on a similar gap - but nearing 12-15 feet above the ground.


now this isn't to say the edit wasn't crazy, or that LJ or will or tom are better than hatveit, just reasoning for the insanity of that edit.

At first I'd think that Will has a chance if it was rails only, however after rewatching TGP 4 it would appear that he does not have a prayer.

Obvs andreas has is own sick setup but he obviously still has to travel and compete around the world, i'm not sure how much time he gets to session it, otherwise he'd put out loads moar edits

Will would win if the game took place on seemingly un-slideable objects such as chains, fences, and 6 kink urban rails.

Andreas is one of the best jump skiers out there......it would be incredibly difficult to find any number of skiers beat him. On rails, I think Will would take it. His urban skills are just too killer.
