The 36th Chamber of Shaolin, Shogun's Samurai, Shaolin and Wu Tang. Took a class that studied a lot about Shaolin and Wu Tang. Some sick movies were made in the 70's and 80's.
The Raid is a Great movie that has been recently re-made in the US under the title "Dredd" (not really) but it's the same exact plot which was decent but does't hold a candle to The Raid. It's been coming on a lot on one of the movie channels, not sure which one though, maybe Cinimax. Kung Fu Hustle is also one of my favorites. However; Blood Sport is my favorite Martial Arts movie ever. Followed closely by Enter the Dragon. If you have't seen Warrior with Tom Hardy, Joel Edgerton. I'ts a mma movie but would still be considered a martial arts movie hence the name Mixed Martial Arts and it is vey good even if you don't follow MMA it's really more of a character study anout a broken family. As far as CRAZY ACTION without much plot you should try Ong Bok the Tai Warrior, that guy is bad!
Man with the Iron Fists was alright. The soundtrack was tight, as expected, but The Raid was better overall. The acting in both movies is pretty shitty and the plots are a little laughable but who watches kung fu movies for those things anyway?
Ip Man is a great movie, but I find the blatant propaganda pretty hilarious . I think at the end of the first one they said that the Chinese defeated the Japanese to end World War II.
kung fu hustle is hilarious and awesome
kung pow enter the fist is also ridiculous but funny
ong bak is sick
ip man is a must
hero
red cliff
not martial art really but good movie is Mongol
