Can you find me a game that isnt a fluke by your standards then? No PI, no fumbles, interceptions, safeties, etc.

The broncos got completely ass raped, and the Hawks have a ring. Can't really argue with that dude.

yeah, you just don't make any sense though. It was an offensive team vs. a defensive team, and you want to take away the plays that our defense made. Interceptions are a huge part of what makes our defense the best in the NFL, and you want to say they should be considered incidental? They aren't--it is very common for us to get 2-3 interceptions/game. We've also had 3 pick-6s this year. There's no reason to consider interceptions accidental/incidental-- its why we are the best, we're known for our interceptions--I feel like I'm taking crazy pills every time I read something that you write.
A team goes to the superbowl, brings their A-game, and fires on all cylinders (offense, defense and special teams)--that's what they're supposed to do, sorry the Broncos failed to deliver.
As far as the kick return-- yeah they don't happen in all games, they're what you hope for when your team is playing their best. In case you didn't notice, Harvin didn't get many chances this year. He is fast as hell though.

you are the ultimate troll. make ridiculous arguments, ignore other peoples' valid ones and just straight up don't respond to them, and then just make weird inflammatory comments.

so why the fuck do you keep defending them while arguing with the logic of a 10 year old fan.

This thread is ending on a worse note than the NFL season. Most of the people arguing here are just blinded by their fanaticism.

real fans. Kind of like soccer in Europe and Latin America, Rugby in South Africa, or hockey in Canada. The world is full of real fans of teams. Sorry we're humans.

Yea I was curious the odd of first play being a saftey and first play in the second half being a TD on the kickoff...

Seattle won the game because denver sucked so much and failed to execute anything starting with the first play. If you really think the seahawks are that much better of a team, you're mistaking. Good job though you definitely took advantage of us playing the worst football imaginable..

4 more points and $100 would have paid $10,000 in one version of an alternative spread bet

apparently seahawks D figured his hand signals and omaha calls. no idea how other teams didn't figure that out earlier.

also, ive heard a lot of people comparing them to the 85 bears and the pittsburgh steel curtain. anyone else have a take on that?

Different reasons, but yes it deserves to be up there. They are playing in an era where the defenses are heavily penalized for almost anything, resulting in more emphasis on body position and proper tackling. This makes it harder for them to accumulate the turnovers and stop scores from occurring.

ive rewatched the games, but i wasnt there so i cant really get a feel for the whole season and how good they were. But in bigger games I'd day this. The Bears had more big time individual plays, massive hits, picks and what not. The Hawks looked better as a group. Less highlights, but better play as a whole. As far as the steel curtain, Mel Blount, Mean Joe, Ham and others were, idk, scarier? Tougher? They really seemed like the thugs of the football world. So its hard to tell if Seattle's D really compared because the styles are different, even if they both are physical.

considering the rules and fines that are now associated with football trying to make it safer (which is a load of bullshit) the seahawks d played a perfect game last night. every single hit was in the strike zone, shoulder first and there were some crunches out there. the nfl should focus less on fines and more on teaching our kids proper ways to tackle. take a lesson from rugby for fucks sake, they dont wear pads and have a much lower injury rate.
this seahawk defense is one of the best ever especially in this day and age, that being said, arizona, san fran, and carolina all have scary fucking defenses. oh and the rams. nfc is stacked with hard hitting d, it's kinda scary honestly. and if theyre all young and getting better. to be up there with them they have to keep winning and keep playing at such a high level. but their performance in the super bowl definitely puts them into the conversation

Drew Brees had one of his worst games of his career in week 13. First ballot hall of famer looked absolutely, dare I say, pedestrian?
Peyton Manning had one of his worst games of his career in the Super Bowl (please, don't fucking tell me he threw for a record number of completions... That is just a microcosm of the fucking Broncos+Manning: hollow, meaningless stats)
They've absolutely obliterated the 49ers in week 16 of last season, Week 2 of this season, and, aside from early rushing from Kaepernick, in the NFC Championship game.
Tight ends shrivel up and die against the Seahawks. Ditto wide receivers.
Considering what defense was allowed to be back in the day, and what it is allowed to be now then yea, this defense ranks with the best ever, no question.

I might be totally wrong here but did you watch around the horn/pti yesterday? your whole comment (except the rugby part) sounds exactly like one of the talking heads (I think it was wilbon's) statement only way exagerated in support of the seahawks.

this one is gonna hurt peytons legacy. i said before how the pats 07 season counts literally nothing because the defense didnt finish that last drive.
now, the new best offense in NFL history is not even putting up points when it counts? (i see the TD as a garbage time TD)
they absolutely deserved to be in the super bowl since they played really well against the chargers and pats. but there were some warning signs and i told everybody who would listen that the broncos offense is kind of overrated when it comes to above-average competition (except for the oline).
their oline and defense carried them to the super bowl. we all dont know about the checks and what is fake and what not by manning, but given the same plays, osweiler HAS to carry them to the super bowl. top-notch protection, the first-read is open 90% of the time, shit load of YAC. their defense obliterates the chargers and pats and gives the ball back.
but still, both games werent over until the final minutes. it never looked close, but a bad snap here and there, and they lose a game in which their perfect offense isnt able to finish against average defenses, even though they are getting the ball back all the time.
enter the seahawks. a top-notch defense. they tackle well, they rush the passer well, they play a defense of high-school complexity to perfection.
dont get me wrong, peyton played really well, but like always, his oline, receivers and defense are not getting enough credit. THEY were the reason that this team is THAT great. peyton rarely had to make difficult throws because of their schemes and talent.
so i dont like when somebody says this is a team loss. you celebrated your reputation MVP, now dont tell me he needs a team around him.
