they need discipline more than anything. and like i said, schwartz was a hot head and it reflected well onto his team. i hope the ford family is finally starting to get it when it comes to coaches. if they cant get this solved, then its obviously a front office issue and house cleaning needs to be done.

thats right and i have been saying for quite a while that we didnt deserve to be in the playoffs. not because of that last game, that can happen anytime, just how we didnt finish several games (depending how you look at it 2-4) where there clearly was a shot but the execution was lacking or a turnover killed them.

same thing in that last game. first pass by chase daniel. butler misses a pick six that you simply have to catch and take to the house. later, allen slips and rivers throws a pick that sets up another touchdown. these are two plays that shouldve been going the other way and make this a blowout early on, but they just didnt do it, and thats kinda what seperates them from really good teams. obviously.

i know every team says "if we dont do that, and do this, and balblabla, we are 11-5" or whatever. but the chargers only lost one game by more than one TD, and have the best SoV in the league, so i think it applies more to them than most teams.

what is equally out of question is that the chargers are the most playoff worthy team out of these teams that had a shot at that 6th seed. the ravens and dolphins played horrible down the stretch. tbh, they were really lucky in those games before they lost two in a row to begin with. and the steelers. i mean, they were 2-6 at some point. thats simply not how you go into the playoffs. your margin for error goes down all the way. then they get killed in a snowstorm by a team from florida. the chargers at least feature a top offense, whereas neither of the other teams has a great offense or defense.

i wont say they will go all that far, but its nice to see them in the playoffs, and for 20 teams, the seasons already over and for all but 1 team, it wont end with a super bowl title. they can play it loose, the bengals have all the pressure in the world and if dalton coughs a few up, the chargers will win. its gonna be a close game and the bengals wont blow the chargers out of the jungle

kinda surprised by the saints, especially how bad brees was throwing early on. eagles have to make more of that. your defense holds the saints to 6 first quarter points and you do what? put up 7?

i know i am a vick fan, but foles just didnt play like a playoff caliber QB. i know he had nice stats, but whenever i watch him play, he is undecisive, takes too many sacks and is really really lucky on several throws that you shouldnt make. brees sucked hard in the first half. go blow them out of your stadium. but apart from 1 drop, the offensive failure was on him. inaccurate and not very consistent.



while i really didnt care, i am kinda glad to see the chiefs go down. they acted like their second string is soooo good. like hand them the lombardi already, i mean they still have a first string after all, dont they?

now charles going down sucked. no question. but they still managed to put up a 38-10 lead in the 3rd quarter. i mean, thats it. you win that game right? chiefs defense is highly overrated, shouldnt have their 100 perennial pro bowlers at all. 2nd half of the season, i would argue that they were one of the bottom 10 units in the league, maybe worse.

nice comeback by luck, but man, all of those picks were pretty awful.

and andy reid, idk if he will ever be able to manage a game efficiently. having 1 or 2 timeouts at the end couldve made a world of a difference, but they call their last one AFTER THE 2-MINUTE-WARNING on 4th-11, effectively ending the game if they dont convert. COME ON MAN!


now really looking forward to some charger playoff football and a niners win. kinda like most NFC playoff teams except for the packers and saints, so please, niners, go!

I didn't think he had it, especially with the new possession rules and how often we see receivers get robbed. They only got it bc of the call on the field, made by an out of position 60 year old 5 seconds after the play was over.

I never thought they were going to win, didnt go to the game, didnt send money with my friend going to vegas, knew I was watching a future Luck highlight tape when we were up 21. do you tell the ppl you're watching the game with, "i realy hope the chiefs lose bc theres this guy on the internet..."

Damn chiefs game was insane can't believe they blew that lead, either way that game was pretty awesome, luck pulled off a miracle pretty much. (thanks to all the injuries)



Broncos vs Colts or Chargers will be a great game, we got beat by both teams so we're going to have to play hard to get the W. I don't see either team beating us twice this year, unless we just shoot ourselves in the foot. The only thing stopping the broncos are themselves.

or was it simply because they were a little bit fresher and the chargers couldnt get film on whatever personnel and scheme the chiefs would play?

losing charles is bad. but my gosh, you still had a 28 point lead in the third. which is actually more than at halftime, where games usually change.

yes, it can happen to anyone, but to have it happen in a playoff game is just unacceptable.

on the other hand, the colts have to fix this shit as well what got them so deep in that hole

Nobody said they were great ppl said they were good enough to beat the chargers and they clearly were. The second Charles got hurt it became a game that they were supposed to lose it doesn't really matter what happened when after that

i really respect what you mean, but blowing a 28-0 point lead so late in the game which you build without charles is just bad.

it sucks to have him injured, he is such a nice player, but i think the other guys more than showed up and they shouldve been able to win nonetheless.

said it all along, if bad andy shows up, this team goes nowhere. such a talented D that kinda kept them in the game on so many occasions. like that goal line stand to force a 10 point instead of a 14 point game, two times a three and out after three straight runs, often very close 3rd downs that they just stuffed.

but they coughed up a big one (actually got lucky imo to get that FG late in the 1st half) which really couldve set the tone and dalton just flat out gifted the chargers three easy possessions afterwards.

rivers played a good game, stats arent great, but they really were focused to run the ball so he wasnt needed all that much. but no pass was dangerous and most were right on the money.

but the win was all about the defense. this was the worst defense in the league according the FO for most parts of the season. so many guys that played good but not great kinda showed up. i dont think ingram played as good as the commentators made him, but he was good and there was a stretch where they rattled dalton so much.

obviously, it will be very tough to play against the broncos, its a division game, everybody knows everybody else so well. broncos defense is obviously worse than the bengals one and i really think that the chargers at least present an average defense right now. and dont forget that the broncos go away from the run soo quick, that will help the chargers. should be close, and no matter what happens now, what a great great win, big ups to telesco and mccoy and all that defense. just mistake-free playoff football. one more game. 60 minute season. come on! BOLT UP!

I can buy that you didn't expect a win, no shame losing to that team, generally speaking. If you're trying to convince anyone you thought your team was going to blow a 28 point lead in the thrid quarter, though... really? Come on now. That wasn't forseeable, that was embarrassing.

nice job niners. but this game cannot be close. the way the packers played early on, you simply cannot kick two FGs and throw a pick. that game shouldve been something like at least 13-0 or more realistically 17-0 or at best 21-0 right off the bat. but they didnt finish those drives and built the packers up.

rodgers did a ridiculous job of escaping in the pocket, although on that miraculous 4th down conversion late in the game, the guy who had him in his grasp was basically tackled away from rodgers. shouldve been a flag and push them out of FG range and potentially force them to punt

beginning of the year at work we all wrote down for fun who would make it to the super bowl, I wrote the patriots and saints. It's still possible!

I like drew brees and the saints experience going into seattle, I know its a tough place and the seahawks absolutely throttled them there during the regular season. But that win for the saints on the road in philly was huge, and I just think the saints can put it together and beat the seahawks. Or the seahawks just throttle them again lol.

I think the Panthers/49ers game will be awesome, two very similar teams going at it. The winner of this game I think has the best shot at representing the NFC in the superbowl.

The Broncos and chargers should be a good game, division opponents, I'll root for the chargers why not?! (even if they shouldn't have been there cause of the no call on the field goal)

Pats and Colts should be a good matchup, the odd team of new england you never know who will be scoring. Andrew luck has some "luck" on his side. I think the Patriots win this in New England.
