FUCK! von miller is most likely missing the first four games due to a pending suspension. Shitty off season for the broncos, really upsetting. Von is a great player and missing four games will be huge in a season like this.

I dont think it will have that much of an effect. He's good but he's only one player and he's on the less important side of the ball, he's not likely to be the difference maker in any given game, and less likely to do it within a 4 game set. plus it would be the first four games so teams won't have a solid game plan yet and by the time they do start establishing them he'll come back and they'll have to rework them.

agreed, they wont be out of the playoff hunt by any means and cannot clinch the division with him

its just four games.

although the broncos kind of start to turn what everyone called a "perfect" offseason into something quite the opposite.

Jerry Jones is saying that there will be a team in LA really soon and that they might get 2 teams. no expansion so my guess is the Jaguars obviously and maybe the Rams would return bc of their stadium situation

no the raiders are planning on building a nearly billion dollar stadium that will have the fewest number of seats out of any stadium in the league or maybe partnering with the 49ers to do something

california has about 12% of the population so having 14% of the nfl's teams isnt that far off, plus people in other states like teams from california for no reason just like new york

Actually, the 49ers are building a stadium and the Raiders who have no solid plans might try to be co-tenants. That is why I am saying move the raiders down to LA.

I get that cali is a populated ass state, but I would rather see teams spread throughout the country instead of two in the same shitty ass city. Move the raiders or chargers to LA. I guess I wouldn't care if both moved there though

Raiders arent going to the team to reintroduce football to the 2nd largest market in the US as long as Davis is the owner.

The NFL wont leave SD bc its a huge city that supports the team and is full of hispanics

Idk where you would want to see a team where theres not one already when you look at this list of states with no nfl teams

Portland, Salt Lake City, Vegas, Oklahoma City, Birmingham, Louisville, Richmond or Virginia Beach (although this is pretty heavy skins area). There are a lot of good markets left in the US and I would much rather see a team go LA and one of those areas instead of two teams going to the same area.

I think that would be pretty reasonable don't you?

not saying they wont win the division, but QFE!

(i am happy if the chargers are somewhat in the playoff hunt right until the last few games, anything else would be too much for a first-year coach with all this turnover).

^^kinda agree.

or 1-on-1s like in training. 1 QB, 1 WR and a DB, man coverage. pass rushing 1-1 and stuff like this could also be fun.

with the whole injury issue: why just not take out a huge insurance, and tell the players, see, if you get injured in the pro bowl and miss a season/future contract, we have you covered. might be expensive, but they need to up the intensity a notch

^these NCAA rules are a tad overboard. i know a girl who came here to play professional volleyball since there is no pro-league in the US and even they had serious problems with NCAA rules.

like they couldnt receive monetary birthday gifts and stuff that is just way too much.

i know they want to keep it an "amateur" sport, but comon, the teams are making millions, the coaches are making millions, they have to find a solution for this, since apparently, the rules are too prohibitive to follow them. every year, there are a few "scandals" regarding illegitimate payment issues.

yea I agree the rules are pretty stupid, ever heard of the bagel rule lol? I think they changed it but still... that being said the rules still exist and he's a fucking idiot if he broke them, I never thought he had much of a chance in the NFL anyway tho

i think that they will solve this problem with their good-to-great rungame (leading NFL in rushing TDs last year) and obviously with brady.

they will be in the playoffs no matter what and after that its everybodys game.

Yup. I live right next to Gillette and everyone here is talking about training camp. I've heard good things about Daniel Fells and Zach Sudfeld, the undrafted free agent. And people are saying Aaron Dobson has been making plays as well. Haven't heard much about Tebow or Josh Boyce, and apparently the defense is doing well overall.

good point with the defense. its an underrated unit imo. yes they give up too many yards and have issues on 3rd down, but they buckle down in the redzone and not a whole lot of balls are flying over their heads.

its very hard to run against them and the biggest single problem was pass-coverage by LBs. mayo and spikes are just not quick enough to cover these new breed of TEs. cost them against the ravens imo, pitta made too many plays (besides boldin who had a tough time against talib before talib got injured)

for his relatively low amount of snaps, this dude has so many awesome plays. just from this game this awesome reversal TD, on another occasion he hurdled (like he does pretty often) a defender.

this dude has top notch talent. he is big, powerful and still can score on such a play (completely reversing the field).

but his character issues scare everybody off. hopefully he can get that in check.

All week they've been saying on WEEI that Kenbrell Thompkins may have surpassed Aaron Dobson on the Pats WR depth chart. So I'll definitely be paying attention to him in the game tonight. I really hope him and Zach Sudfeld pan out, those would be two absolute steals if they turn out to be good.

I feel like with Suh, Ansah, and Fairley all on the same D-Line, it needs a nickname. All the great D-Lines in NFL history have had awesome nicknames. Fearsome Foursome, New York Sack Exchange, Purple People Eaters, etc.

Without Amendola and Gronk, look for them to get a lot of points early on. Especially in the red zone if it is too far to run.
